I only watched the Super Bowl this year because my sister-in-law had a get-together. Sadly my wife and I were the only ones to show up, but it was still kind of fun. I can't believe everyone isn't talking about why the Bengals lost though. They had to surrender a touchdown because an un-uniformed player from their team ran out in the end-zone to celebrate with the team. That little stunt cost them the points for the touchdown (which would have given them the win ultimately....all things considered). The half-time show was not entertaining, but I'm not a rap/hip-hop fan, and the commercials were less than stellar. The snacks were good though.
Didn't know this... So a player who wasn't dressed out and did not play cost them the game. Wow. I bet a lot of teammates are mad! I know I would be. I enjoyed the season but just don't care for those 2 teams.
Here is probably what should have happened: Cincy scores TD. Non-playing player runs on the field. Flag thrown, 15 yard penalty assessed on kick off. No need to take away the TD. Bad call on the refs and I didn't even see it!
I did finally find an article on it and for some reason I was not paying close enough attention to the game because he didn't cost them a TD. It looked more like they were just celebrating an interception, and he ended up costing them 15 yards. I guess that's what happens when you don't care enough about either team to pay attention to what exactly is going on.
That makes far more sense. I was confused because I live in Cincinnati and none of the local news outlets were talking about them losing a TD

Glad you corrected that. I was wondering what the heck you were talking about.
Agree the ads were woefully pathetic this year. Only a few standouts.

I was only able to stay up late enough to watch it because I'm in Arizona and it was over before 9pm.

Tomorrow we get the third storm of this year. Yesterday and today was the second.
Tomorrow's storm is a fierce storm. With strong wind gusts and sometimes wind force 10 - 11. Especially as this storm is strongest in the evening and night. I think this is scary.

I am having internet issues again! The router from the new company I signed up with laid down and died on Friday. I went by and got a temporary one today. Even though it runs on 4G supposedly, I am getting ping speeds more akin to dial-up. If a website has a lot of photos, it takes minutes to load. A simple download of an album has taken a couple of hours and I still don't have it. I am about ready to smash it all and unplug. If technology doesn't work, then what is the point of having it?
I will get it cleared up, but I better be getting a discount for the trouble.

We run our own modem which is a Motorola and then we have an ASUS router. The highest speed I've clocked is 509 Mbps. I've also run a cable through the attic so I'm hardwired.

I live in a rural area with no fiber options, so I was actually getting better results with the 4G router than I was with AT&It's DSL. Then, the box crapped out and this replacement one is giving me sub dial-up speeds. This is ridiculous.

Happy President's Day (in the U.S. it's basically government holiday that most of the private sector does not get as a "holiday off from work"....most (if not all) government & bank employees get a paid day off, but much of the private sector still has to work).

Welce to day give of having no Internet, and this, no TV. I am sick of not being able to connect. The new company I signed up with did great until the router they gave me went out. They have sent me back he with a different one three times so far only to find we still have no service. I know they are trying, but I am going to give them until Friday and they can tear up my contract as I consider them in breach of said agreement.
I am about ready to throw the dang computers out in the rain and get me an old school antenna. At least the service would be mostly reliable.

Today marks the sixth day of my internet outage. I am done playing around. Tomorrow, they either need to get it working or I will call another company to install something. This is utterly' ridiculous!

It looks like I have my internet problems solved! The company was able to get my original router fixed and have put a new SIM card in it. It was finally activated today. They also sent me home with a 5G router to test which has a better signal for me. Whichever wins as far as performance goes will be the one I keep. For the time being, I have more internet than I can use!

Decided to take another trip up to Versailles, Ohio next weekend to see John Schlitt with Russ Taff. Not as familiar with Taff but can't pass up another great opportunity to see some classic Christian music live in concert. The weather is also supposed to be quite nice on Saturday (highs approaching 70) and I have nothing else to do that day so I might take advantage of it and explore the area some.
