That was a busy Friday for me. Thijs and Dylen came for one day. In no time Thijs and opa built a big train track from Duplo. The living room was full of tran track and trains. But they have had fun. Levi came after lunch. When I asked the boys what to have for dinner. I heard "Mac Donalds. So we had a Mac menu on Friday night.

My three and a half week summer break quickly came to an end. Today was the first day of school for my district.
Last year, my high school had just a little over 1600 students. Friday, we were already at 1928 and we had 30-40 kids show up who were not yet registered. They are saying we will be over 2,000 students by the end of the week and a possible increase of 5% monthly for the duration of the year. This area is growing too fast!

People fleeing most liberal run states!
We also have a lot of industry moving here, so people are also following jobs.

Anyone get some message from FB about something called “Facebook Protect”???
I had screens pop up saying to activate FB protect but passed on it. Today I had problems getting on FB. Then this afternoon I get another screen that says my account has been locked until I activate it. I can’t even use FB messenger.
Why do I get the feeling there is more than meets the eye. I get the feeling there may be a program with a hidden agenda on the matrix.

It is one thing to have something to help, but to lock down the account and make this a requirement, that is overstepping it. It just ends up smelling fishy.
I have just left it alone and moved on. The only real downside is losing contact with so many relatives all over the US as well as some friends I grew up with at school and church.

No, not too near me. It seems like most of the flooding has been on the East side of Phoenix and I am about 30 miles West of Phoenix. Dynamis lives closer to Phoenix than I do (but he is still on the West side). We have had quite a bit of rain though and a lot of standing water. Saturday night we had monsoon level winds that caused quite a bit of damage. Most of the damage was limited to trees and cacti, but there has also been a bit of property damage in the way of trees and cacti falling on people's houses and even a blown in garage door. Some people lost roofing tiles and outdoor furniture as well. Felt like we were in Florida for about an hour, but no catastrophic damage in our area.

Our energy bills are going up at an incredible rate. They reckon that by April they will be 6 times more than they currently are. Everyone in the UK is in a bit of a panic! Currently bills are about £1,100 at year, ($1,292) but could rise to £7,000. ($8,224). Stick that on the end of your monthly exenditure (£583) and you'll have a lot of folks spiralling out of control
Lots of things have been suggested... -Turn down thermostat by a few degrees. -Turn off hot water and heating an hour early. -Go to bed earlier -Use microwave instead of cooker -Wear extra clothes.
It's going to be an interesting winter, for sure.
How's it in the US?

I'm guessing that might have a lot to do with Russian waging war the Ukraine and that fact that quite a bit of Europe gets it's gas/oil from Russia. Even if Great Britain doesn't get it's fuel from Russia, that would still drive up the price of fuel coming from other places. I haven't seen an increase in electrical costs, but that is only because my solar panels are providing all of my electrical power (we have electrical heat and air-conditioning). The gasoline (petrol) prices in the U.S. are still about double what they were less than 2 years ago.

WOW! UK must have gotten a lot from Russia?
Auto gas has dropped maybe 10% in the past month or so but is still high (for us) as Staybrite said.
Natural gas is about twice what it was a year ago and they must expect it will go up a bit more as my "balanced" (adjusted for annual usage) payment increased a bit more than double. We certainly should have the ability to produce what we need but I think politics has had an effect on that (and auto gas).
Electric has stayed the same (that balanced payment actually decreased for us).
