My state, Washington, is trying to make all police show their social media accounts which they are fighting and is actually against the law. In Portland their was a public prayer meeting and antifa showed up and attacked them while the police watched. For being anti fascist there's a lot of fascism happening. Gird yourselves, going to get messy.

All of that is complete garbage. Democrat lead cities and states are already acting as if they are exempt from being voted out of office. Antifa reminds me of something from Orwell's 1984. They might as well call themselves The Ministry of Love and just go around beating everyone who doesn't cow to whatever their ideology is.

Thanks! We're looking around the Knoxville area for something a little remote and quiet.

We had a lot of rain this past week. We had gone for weeks without any. I mowed my yard over two weeks ago and it looked like it was almost dead. The rain set in on Wed. and Thurs. My grass did more than green back out! It was over 8 inches tall by today! I borrowed my mother-in-law's Cub Cadet lawn tractor to mow. It was unreal how fast it grew!
I fought the lawn and the lawn won....

Oh man, I don't miss fighting with the lawn. My whole yard will pretty much just be rocks and cacti by the time the landscapers are done.

A couple weeks ago we got our first case of Delta Variant in the community so we're in lockdown here in NZ while we try to eradicate it. With no need to leave the house now, I've got a lot of time on my hands. It's coming up on Spring here so I've been tackling the winter weeds to get ready to sow some veg. I don't normally grow a winter veggie garden but this year I did. Man, am I glad I did because our shops are empty of so many things. It's not so much crazy overbuying (like the toilet paper panic of last year), but more a supply chain problem. When I placed my grocery order this week I got only 2/3rds of what I ordered, no meat, and only a few vegetables (i.e., 3 parsnips, a butternut squash, and some onions). I'm very, very glad that I've got carrots, chard, and peas ready to harvest. Feeling very blessed. I won't starve.

Had the Delta Variant late June/early July. 13 days. Acute bronchitis. The only good things to come out of it--some heavy back pay (coming next week) and I've lost 30 pounds since.

We put an offer on a house and it was accepted. We will close on Sept 22nd. So we'll officially be residents of Knoxville.
Does that make us Knoxvillans?

Now that's funny!
Congratulations on finding a new house!
