I just spent about 15 minutes trolling on CMR and didn't have any issues. I even posted on one of the threads with no issues.

It appears to be my desktop. Everything is fine on my phone. That's weird!

I am getting more fed up with Facebook every day. A local conservative talk radio host (Phil Valentine) has been very vocal about coronavirus and the vaccine. He wound up getting the virus and nearly died in the ICU.
He had posted an article days before getting sick and I had replied to it. Nothing happened.
Then, the station announced Phil's condition, and a guy came into the thread to insult me and wish that Phil would die. I politely told the guy how I felt about that, reported him, and blocked him. Facebook did nothing to the guy as apparently you can wish conservatives dead without violating their community standards.
Then, another guy comes in and berates me for my comments and calls me "intolerant" and says I am "inbred". I reported this guy without responding and blocked him, too. Guess what? Facebook also says this doesn't violate their community standards.
But, you let a Christian or a conservative say something that makes someone else uncomfortable and you will get comments deleted or wind up with a temporary ban we now call Facebook jail.
I am sick of this corporate giant pretending to be an advertising agency (their words) instead of a content publisher. They are nothing more than the propaganda machine for the Democrat's Communist agenda for the USA.
Why we stay there at all baffles me. I am more and more wanting to leave. It may be time to get everyone's phone number and delete my account there.

Facebook has a ridiculous set of standards. It seems they have specifically separated people on their site into categories (conservatives, liberal etc.) and will let you get away with murder as long as you fit into their leftist category.
A conservative friend posted an image (created by a police station) of a man holding up two guns and it said something to effect of "Can you tell which one is a real pistol and which one is a pellet gun?" I responded (just in text) and said "Well I guess I'd be dead, because I couldn't tell quick enough". Facebook deleted my comment and sent me a reprimand. I challenged it, but they didn't care.

Here's something random. While using my smoker a few weeks ago I noticed some busy wasps going in and out of a metal bird house. A very steady flow of traffic. The hole is pretty small so spraying would only make them mad. So I came up with an idea. Since these type of insects aren't active at night I stuck a piece of clear packing tape over the hole. The next day I tapped on the birdhouse and riled them up! I could see them flying around trying to get out. I forgot about it then a week later I tapped on it again. Still flying around! This is after a week stuck in the birdhouse with 100 degree temps! Two weeks went by and I tapped again. Still alive! Then the third week I tapped it and no movement. It's been about 6 weeks now and the tape is still over the opening. It's obvious a bird isn't going to move in so I will just leave the packing tape over the hole.

In that situation, I would have sprayed them but done it at night. Raid makes a can that will shoot nearly 20 feet. You could have gotten them as they came out.
I know this works as I had some yellow jackets nest in the ground a couple of years ago in my tiny front yard. As the sun was going down, they began returning to their nest. I blasted them as they hit the hole. Then, I emptied that can in the ground. When that soaked in, the rest of the nest got mad and out they came. I had another can and just stood there and picked them of as they came out of their hole. After that, I had no more yellow jackets.

That is totally absurd! Gosh FB is ridiculous... I've been really tempted to ditch it but there have been so many times it's been the connection point allowing me to interact with bands/members that I wouldn't be able to otherwise. I've been able to track down some great albums, get signed CDs, encourage up-and-coming bands, etc. That's the only reason I'm keeping it... I actually recently unliked/unfollowed/whatever any political or gun-related page I had previously liked, and have totally ceased interacting with any such posts. Any data they collect on me from here-on-out is only going to be related to music and whatever old friends from high school or whatnot.

Yeah I really try to limit any political or weapon related discussion of fb. I know they are collecting data, and I really don't want to have to shoot a bunch of people when they come and try to take my guns. My bookface interaction is mostly with my kids and a few mead/whiskey and music groups.

That sounds like something I totally would have done. I'm a little surprised they lasted for so long though.

Oh yeah, I think he probably has a seriously problematic God complex. Just a few short paragraphs into the article you come across the "facebook ideology".

FB has dinged me a few times for memes I posted up to 3 years ago. What's so Nazi about that is, people change over time. They can't forgive me for something I posted 3 years ago? What if I changed since then and no longer agree with the meme? It's pretty harsh if you ask me... not that I give a flip, it's just the principle of the whole thing. I guess I'll have to wait 3 years to be punished for posts I did this week

The irony is: those who deny the reality of a personal, transcendent God always strive to be one themselves.
Kinda sounds like a certain cursed fallen angel of light, doesn't it?
