| I haven't seen a lot of those classics but some of them are great. Some of those old films are very good, like Casablance, The Maltese Falcon, 12 Angry Men, The Killers (1946). "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte" with Bette Davis was good too, but kinda creepy (also not quite as old having been made in 1964) _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

for reals ? Yeah, I'd never heard of it either, but I got it at the library, and both movies came on the same disc. Uses the same two boys it did in the first movie, but obviously a different dog. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Just watched Alien vs Predator 2 (Requiem). I know a lot of people hated this movie, but most of the criticism I've read came from those who compared the film with other Alien and Predator films. When I watch a sequel, not a remake, I judge it entirely on it's own merits and not that of prequels and versions xx. And for me Alien vs Predator 2 was a solid Sci-Fi flick. The only complaint that I have is that the ending lacked enough substance/detail. They should have taken another ten minutes to do a better wrap up. | |

| Thursday night, I rented: Race To Witch Mountain
Ehhhh....it was okay, but nowhere as good as the original.
Today, I went to the theater and saw: District 9
Ehhhh......it was okay. Glad it was a matinee. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Just came back from the cheap theater where me and the family watched Night at the Museum 2-Battle at the Smithsonian (how's that for a seriously long name?). Much fun was had by all. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| NATM2-BATS (even the abbreviation is long!) is a fun movie. I won't say it's better than the first, but it is just as entertaining and has a great story to it. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Shinjuku Incident (2009)
My brother-in-law picked this up in Hong Kong last week. I'm a fan of Jackie Chan. Out of over a hundred films he has starred in I own 43. This is one of the few films starring Jackie Chan where Kung Fu is absent. I like this movie a lot...very well done.

| So can you watch a dvd made in Hong Kong on your dvd player in Germany? That isn't the same video region is it? BTW, love Jackie Chan, haven't seen much of his Hong Kong work, but he is fantastic. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

That isn't the same video region is it? I unlocked my DVD player...it's region free. Some DVD players are sold already unlocked, and some stores offer to unlock them for a fee. There are also some sites that offer unlock codes that you can punch in on your remote to unlock the player...which is what I did. In Germany it is legal to unlock your DVD player.

| That's cool. We sent our German exchange student home with a few movies that she can only watch on her laptop, because their dvd player won't do it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Anyone seen Precinct 9 yet? I plan to see it in a week or so, but wondered if anyone thought it was good or not.

| I've seen District 9 now! It was a good movie (produced by Peter Jackson of Lord Of The Rings fame).
SPOILER ALERT! Basically an alien ship arrives but the doors don't open. The army cuts it's way in after about 3 months, and finds all the aliens (1.8 million of them) all malnurished and almost dying. So the humans set up a camp for them on earth and keep them in a certain area (District 9). In the end the humans are more interested in researching the aliens weapons than looking after the aliens. One man contracts a virus and starts turning into an alien, and then decides to help the aliens get away from earth.
CGI - 10/10 Storyline - 7/10 Acting 7/10 Swearing level 2/10 Violence 4/10 Feelgood factor 6/10
TOTAL 7/10
