| It had the potential to be, but the thick accents of the actors made understanding a lot of the dialog. So, while I got the gist of what was going, I felt that I was missing a little something. So, no weepy-weepy. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Last night I watched "Godspell" (from way back in 1973) with Mrs. Staybrite.
Strange movie, seemed a bit irreverent at times. But (to me at least) it seemed like the creators had their hearts in the right place _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| So I was flipping channels tonight after a busy day and I came across a show on celebreties in Hollywood getting plastic surgery (don't worry that's not where this ends! lol) Anyways one of the actors commenting on the side of how ridiculous it was, was Kirk Cameron. I just thought that was sort of a cool thing because I've never really seen him involved in anything mainstream, and it's cool to see a show like that got the perspective of a Christian actor. | |

| Terminator - Salvation
I didn't like number 4 as much as Terminator 2 and 3. I also think that Sam Worthington was a much better actor in this movie than Christian Bale.

The Last Starfighter Short Circuit I love both of those movies. "Short Circuit" was just plain funny. "The Last Starfigher" was a groundbreaking film for the movie industry. This was the first time that entire space scenes were computer generated. Sure, the effects are cheesy by today's standards, but this movie moved us from the stop motion photographing that Lucas used in the Star Wars movies and fast tracked us to CGI. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

I would love to see that (but cannot find it anywhere locally). I saw the second half of the sequel "Another Perfect Stranger (or something like that). Where another girl meets Jesus on an airplane, and has no idea it is him. I think I read somewhere that the girl in the sequel was actually supposed to be the daughter of the girl in the original movie. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | In the movie, she is the lady in the first film's daughter. However, in the books that these are based, on the main character is a MAN in the first novel and his SON in the 2nd. The director changed it because he felt that with the emotion showed that people would feel more comfortable with a man/woman combo.
I have both of these movies on DVD. They are pretty good. You can find them both at Amazon.com or at ChristianCinema.com. I have bought several titles from Christian Cinema and they are very reliable.

They just don't seem to have any decent selection even at the Christian Book stores. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I went to the cinema for the first time in 7 months last night! It was basically our first night out together (me and my other half) since January. Had a really great evening, as my in-laws looked after junior. We saw Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It was a really good movie and very enjoyable from start to finish. There wasn't much of a plot though and it just rambled on through, with lots of love triangles and small talk, infact concerning the whole story arc over the 8 movies they could have actually left this movie out totally and no one would have batted an eye lid. Still, that aside it was a nice movie with lots of neat touches in it, some of it was very humourous indeed. To top it all we got to see the film cheap! Most cinemas charge about £7 to see a film (about $11 - 12 dollars I guess) but the place we saw it last night have special deals on Monday nights and we saw it for £3 a head! Now that's what I call a bargain! So, if you like Harry Potter then you'll like this film. If you don't mind the fact that there's no huge plot, then you're in for a very entertaining film. | We're down with the oldies Key Largo, 12 Angry men, The African Queen, Harvey, Some like it hot, etc..... Good stuff. When an actor had to be an actor - when plots had class - when most of the actors were multi-talented and had to sing and dance... We taught our kids when they were young to have an appreciation for these old classics as well. (Their fav = Some like it hot... they know the entire movie word for word) | |
