We both enjoyed it, which is impressive since it's not my wife's type of movie. The part that most annoyed me was the CGI of Charlie running to the tower while the 2 bots were fighting - they should have done much better there.
I went and saw Bumblebee yesterday as well. I agree on that one scene.
Other than that, I thought this was better than most of the Transformers movies. The more crude humor was mostly stripped away. There were still plenty of laughs, but all the joes aren't sexual. The gratuitous camera shots lingering on female bossoms or butts was also done away with. Of course, Michael Bay's company helped make this, but a different director was brought in. It lightened the tone, actually built Bumblebee and Charlie as characters, sped up the transformations, made the fight scenes where you could actually tell what was happening, etc. I think this is probably where they needed to start the whole franchise. No wonder the other films were slowing down in overall ticket sales!

I finished season two of Runaways.
Now, we are watching the third season of A Series Of Unfortunate Events. I love this dumb, quirky show!

We finished all of A Series Of Unfortunate Events. It will be sad no longer seeing Neil Patrick Harris starting as Count Olaf.

Watching episodes of the first season of "Friends" with my wife. Man what a goofy (and dated) show. Funny story, durring the first two episodes we both clapped at the same time (during that special part in the theme song)...but the second time we did it, that cat got really scared and nearly flew off the couch. We hadn't seen an episode in a couple of days, and last night when we turned on an episode we both clapped at the same time (only really quietly so as not to scare the cat). We didn't coordinate that, just both did it. Got kind of a laugh out of that.

I am rewatching the first two seasons of Travelers. I started into season three but I don't remember how they got to where the season began. Getting old sucks.

I have that same problem. I usually need to go back and watch the last few episodes of the previous season to remember what's going on. Doesn't help that the plot lines for that show are a bit involved....well that and the fact that depending on how quickly you watch the episodes of any show it could be 11 months between seasons.

Overboard (1987) with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Fun film. We are gearing up to watch the reboot version in a day or two.

Just finished up the 3rd season of Travellers on Netflix. Hope there is another but it is fine if they end it the way they did.

We watched episode two of Planet Earth II. It's definitely one of the best nature documentaries out there (mainly due to the spectacular footage) but I've got a few gripes. For one, the sound effects are way overdone and quite distracting. It's obvious they were added after the fact and makes it just feel fake. Secondly, they sporadically throw in some cliche man-is-evil-and-destroying-the-environment stuff. I wish they'd just stick with the animals but whatever. Overall it's a good show and I'm looking forward to continuing.

Watched Overboard (2018) last night. It was fun and some of it was even a little funnier than the original (but not in total). I really like the way they did the ending. My only complaint would be that the lead character's didn't have the chemistry that Kurt and Goldie did in the original....the part where they were supposedly supposed to fall in love over about 2 months wasn't all that believable.

Some time back I had heard that a movie called White Lightning served as inspiration for the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. Well I finally got to see it this evening. It was worth the wait.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. I've heard of the movie, but never seen it...and had no idea it inspired the Dukes of Hazzard (I did just watch the Cannonball Run the other night though).

Went to the theater with the wife yesterday and watched the 80th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. It was kind of cool seeing it on the big screen.
