I enjoyed that movie, but I understand it was substantially different from the book (well maybe not different, but apparently it focused on a relatively small aspect/portion of the book).

I remember seeing an interview with one (or both) of the main actors for that several years back and told myself I needed to watch the film. Then like most things I completely forgot about it. Maybe I need to make a list.

That's the nice thing about Netflix - I can just add discs to our queue as I learn about them.

Watched the 1959 Roger Corman classic "The Wasp Woman". So bad it's good! Was on a PBS show called Nightmare Theatre where they show old, bad movies.

Wish I could say the same for the recent "Shadow in the Cloud".

As I stated, have been watching Adam 12. I caught it midway thru the series. It cycled back to Season 1 and it's a bit different than the later seasons. Not bad, just different. I noticed they use the street from Leave It To Beaver in a lot of the early episodes. I haven't seen Beaver's house yet but I recognized some of the houses. Then 2 nights ago I saw the Munsters house which confirmed it (also saw Beaver's house recently on a Season 4 episode of the 6 Million Dollar Man. He actually went inside the house but it was a different set when he went in, they just used the exterior).
Anyway, a lot of shows from the late 60's and early 70's had a lot of cheesy rock music. It was as if the writer/director/whoever had no idea what teens were listening to at the time. They would throw something together that no teen from the 70's would ever listen to!
One episode had Reed & Malloy respond to a noise complaint. The music played for a good 2 or 3 minutes. It was so bad I had to see if I could find it. And I did! This guy recreated it! Take a listen to see how bad it is!
It's funny how he calls it "irresponsible party music"

I finished season one of The Mandalorian. I can't say that I love it. I don't hate it, but I don't feel like it was all that great, either. Eight episodes in and I can't say that I feel anything for the two main characters, either.
Does it get better in season two?
