If you look at the CDC site, they quietly changed all the deaths to just Covid to under 10,000, the rest are with a comorbidity. Don't expect the MSM to report it though.

Now if only these megalomaniac governors would give up control and return life to normal. They won't go without a fight, I fear.

I've been saying for a while now that the U.S. death tolls are inflated. If you compare the statistics for other countries, the covid death numbers in the U.S. are statistically impossible. Either the U.S. has been inflating numbers, or most of the rest of the world has been down playing their numbers. My wife heard from a nurse in her hospital who has a cousin who is a nurse in NY who told her that any death that also tested positive for covid was counted as a covid death.

They've been doing that everywhere in the US.

Yeah, it's crap, if they did that with every virus we'd have non-stop pandemics. Maybe that's the plan.

I believe that most people don't die from influenza but from complications due to influenza. I would think that the same would go for SARS-CoV-2. But a death is still a death.

I agree with that, but they are testing people who came in with a gunshot wound, or car crash victims for covid (after their death) and counting them as covid deaths when clearly they died of their injuries. It makes sense if someone who has a pulmonary disease get's covid and it causes their lungs to fail earlier then they would have on their own....they would be a "covid related death". But it's like the hospital get's more money for everyone with covid who comes through their doors.

Yup. That even hit the liberal news outlets early on in this whole covid game. It was like $34k the hospitals got from the feds if they used a respirator IIRC. I've been hearing quite a few stories from people we know that someone goes in for something like a sprained wrist (and no signs or testing for covid) and on their insurance statement, covid is listed with thousands of dollars paid to the hospital from the insurance company (who gets it from the federal government). You can't expect people to be ethical and not take "free" money when it's that easy...

It's not good in my country. The virus is going around and round and lots of people have it. It makes me very concerned about this new outbreak.

My school system brought the K-3 grades back in full time this past Monday. If numbers don't spike exponentially, then we will bring everyone back in right after fall break.

A neighboring county let their mask mandates expire early this week. Rumors have it that the governor will drop our state of emergency that expires at the end of the month. I will believe it when I see it. I am seeing more people every day who have quit wearing the masks. I believe it is high time for those who are fearful or most at risk to use cautions to protect themselves, but the rest of us just want to go about our lives without so much government control.

Seeing more and more people around here go without the masks as well. I think they are just getting tired of the fear-mongering and don't want to have to wear a mask, especially when nobody they know is dying from Covid. (I'm not saying nobody has died, just that most people don't know much of anyone directly who has, so it doesn't seem like as much of a reason to panic and live in fear).

We now have to wear a mask in every shop we go in to. With my black Extol hoodie, and black mask, I look like a thug.

We went to Murfreesboro yesterday where the mask mandate has expired. However, all the stores still have their signs up requiring them and everyone we saw just about was wearing them. Stores were limiting the number of people inside and turning away people who were not wearing masks. It appears the conditioning and fear-mongering worked.

It has and it will now be much easier to scare everyone into taking more control. The country has rejected God and now wants the government to be our keeper.

I have a hard time picturing you with Extol merch. Kerrick on the other hand.... Speaking of thugs, I'm curious if anyone has seen any valid robbery stats since I'd guess MSM would hide that? I'd assume with so many wearing masks, robberies would skyrocket since nobody would think it was suspicious.
As for us, not much change here in Indiana. We moved to stage 5 recently but they still officially require masks and such though some places aren't enforcing it. Our school system is transitioning the elementary schools to 5-days now instead of alternating days. I'm still looking for a job though I've been quite busy building at church and going to prayer meetings every day this month so I'm thankful I've been available. Also thankful we can get by on only my wife's income. We haven't had to use any of the money from my contracting work. Praise God!

Nice. We haven't been hassled yet for entering any stores without masks on. I almost got turned around at Walmart a couple weeks ago but the lady said I could just put my shirt over my mouth so I did that as I entered.

For some reason, I've actually never been able to get into Extol! I've tried a few times and they just haven't "clicked" with me yet. I should give 'em another shot though since they're one of the main pioneers in Christian extreme metal and really pave their own path.

Our county mayor is letting the mask mandate end tomorrow night at midnight. He has said that people should still respect businesses' wishes for you to wear a mask inside.
Tennessee Governor Lee has extended the state of emergency for another month as I believed he would. There will be no limitations on businesses now supposedly. He has left it up to city and county mayors to decide if their individual mask mandates should continue or not. For me, this is just political grand-standing to make it appear like he is giving the people what they want.
