We have to look to the service on YouTube.
Maybe the terrasses are open on June 1rst. And maybe we can cut our hair very soon. No church here is Washington State either. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| In Tennessee, 89 of the 95 counties opened up retail and restaurants on April 30. Some stores have chosen to stay closed which is their right. Some fast food places are still doing drive-thru only. However, many restaurants are taking in customers but only at 50 percent capacity. Because of the media fed fear, the restaurants aren't reaching that capacity because people are afraid.
Personal care businesses like hair and nail salons opened up yesterday. Dentists are also allowed to see patients.
Many people are wearing masks and many are not. I am one of the "nots". While the CDC says we should wear them, the US Surgeon General is still saying that the masks do not help with the spread at all.
Many churches are doing the online service. I have been doing that plus a "drive-in" service where my folks can sit in their cars and hear me on the radio. I preach on the front steps of the church. However, we are going to buck the mayor's orders Sunday and reopen the church. We will be asking people to spread out. Wear your masks if you feel like you need it. Don't wear one if you don't want to. I will also be using my FM transmitter so those that feel uncomfortable coming in can still sit in their cars. We will only be doing the worship service, but not Sunday School (or small groups if your church calls it that). We want to be back in our church, but we want people to feel safe, too. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Our church is still trying to decide how and when to reopen. They've been doing services via YouTube for the last 5 or 6 weeks (live the first week and prerecorded every week since then), but it's really weird sitting on the couch watching church on TV every week. | |

| Technically, churches can meet starting May 8 here, but I suspect most won't. Even my tiny church will hold off another week, which surprised me. I think my Methodist church will not meet until June. I'll actually be disappointed when we go back for Sunday School because we've spent much more time than normal to go through things on our conference calls.
Restaurants can do 50% starting Monday and several that did close at some point will open up again. After Sunday I will stop our streak (today will make 49 consecutive days) of eating out and go back to normal for us, which is mostly cooking at home. That isn't because of fear, of course, but I generally don't like going out to eat because it's not thrifty and I don't like to wait. This county LOVES to eat so I am curious if we'll have the same issue Chris noted or if it will be packed. I could see both playing out but suspect the latter. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

The restaurants here are open (25% capacity indoors) but no one is going. People are still ordering carry out. You drive by them and the parking lot is completely empty but the drive thru wraps around the building. We haven't eaten out any during this except for a local pizzeria and they told me to call when I arrived and they would carry it out to me.

| As soon as restaurants open up here in the communist utopia of Washington i'm going. We can be careful but i'm tired of being ruled by fear. Of course, it looks like half the independent restaurants in town won't reopen so that sucks. As for Church, I think we're looking at July at the earliest. | |

| So I finally know someone who caught the virus. Unfortunately he did not survive and passed away Thursday. What is odd is that it hasn't been reported on the death count. His wife said he had it and was on a ventilator. I haven't had contact with him in a while so no worries on my end | |

I know of one person who has had it. I was probably exposed to it during the end of March but have had no symptoms whatsoever. I have another friend who has lost both her mom and her aunt to the virus. Both of these ladies were in their 80s, though.

| My wife works with a lady who's adult daughter had it (she is a nurse). It took her a while, but she finally recovered from it. Her husband and mother-in-law ended up getting it as well. Her husband recovered quickly, but her mother-in-law died from it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I have now seen several reports that putting someone with COVID on a ventilator is basically a death sentence, the lungs can't take the high pressure and it causes a whole bunch of internal damage. They seem to be better off with just a nasal cannula or a CPAP.
It was so nice to be in church Sunday, we're limited to 215 people in the building at a time, but it's still better than online! Temps are checked as you come in, you aren't supposed to leave your seat, and we have a team disinfecting the building after service.

| I am wondering if I will have a job next school year or not. With the massive drop in sales tax revenue due to the virus shutdowns, our school system is letting go of a lot of teachers, EAs, etc. They will not be purchasing new textbooks or new tech for the new school year. Even some of the higher paying jobs with the school board are being done away with. The county commission has told every department that it funds that they will have to make massive cuts across the board whether it be the crews that fix potholes or firefighters and cops. Everyone is having to make cuts. So, even if we opened up completely, jobs are still going to be dropping around here. In my county, the school system is the largest employer with Amazon following closely behind. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

I saw your post on CMR and replied but I'll reply here as well. My wife is in the same boat. She taught high school this year but quit in Feb. She left on good terms and remained at the school until they found a replacement. The next week she got a job on support staff and loved it! But she only worked for 3 weeks before schools shut down. Last week she got a letter from the school that she would not be needed next year. The principal told her to keep an eye open for job postings and there was one posted on the district website and she applied but did not hear back and now the job posting is gone. There is a chance they will ask her to come back right before school starts.... that is how she found her teaching job last year. The district had cut a ton of teaching jobs then a week before school started they posted a bunch of openings and they hired her about 3 days before school started. So something may open up but she really liked the elementary school and wanted to stay there because it was only a mile from our youngest daughter's school. She said if they didn't want her back she wouldn't look anywhere else. Whatever happens, happens. God has a plan we just don't know what it is (yet).

| I think a lot of people in my county in Tennessee are over this. Why do I say that? Traffic today was much heavier, and I saw a lot less mask-wearers in Walmart. For the most part, the staff were all that were wearing them.
