Keep me and my wife in your prayers. My wife's supervisor sent her home today due to a little sinus drainage, a mild headache, and a cough. She does this with allergies this time of year. Because they sent her home, she had to be tested. So, we are awaiting the results tomorrow to see if she has it or not. She is not running a temp and still has her sense of taste/smell. I believe she will be clear, but we want your prayers to insure that she doesn't have it.
Thanks!

I'll be praying, if I get a cold or allergies kick in i'm hiding it. This is beyond stupid, people at my work have had Covid but not 19 but still got registered as if they did.

Well, Holly tested positive, so she will be at home for the next two weeks monitoring symptoms. With the school system, I have to stay out 24 days unless I test positive, too. Then, I can go back after 10 days. So, tomorrow I will go get tested. Luckily, my first week of staying home is fall break. Sadly, we will have to cancel our trip to Florida that we were going to do.

24 days? For what? It doesn't take that long for the virus to kick in.

Well that's not good, praying Holly will have a swift and complete recovery. I'm not feeling so well myself (runny nose, sore throat....not sure if I have a low-grade fever or not). Not going to get tested though unless I get much worse (one of the perks of being a partner in your own company with the opportunity to work from home). I hope you don't get it, you spent too much time home and bored already this summer.
I did read (somewhere on the web) that they think they found a new strain of the virus that is easier to catch. No worse than the first version (so no more lethal), but just easier to catch. But that was from a research report that hadn't been peer reviewed.

That is what the state department of health put on us, so the school system follows that blindly. Like I said, if I go get tested then it is only a ten day ban. So, I am going to get tested today just for grins and giggles.

Sorry to hear about Holly. I will be praying for her, that she gets through it well, and also that you don't get it.

As long as neither of us have it bad, I would prefer to get it and be done with it. I have a couple of acquaintances that work in the medical field that say that everyone will eventually get it. If we're gonna be asymptomatic or low symptomatic, then let's get this done.

I went for a test this afternoon. Due to the lab being low on staffing during the weekend, it will be Monday morning before I know if I am positive as well. If I am negative, I will go back and take the antibody test.

I work with a guy who, along with his wife, got a Corona virus but not Covid 19 and guess what? They were tallied and had to act like they had C 19. I'm so over this but I think it will never be done. Always a new virus to control us with.

My wife and I cannot figure out where she was exposed to this. She felt rough early last week but hasn't shown symptoms since Thursday night when she went to bed. She has symptoms more in line with a cold or a mild flu.
I am having the pleasure of fighting with our travel insurance to get a refund for a trip we were to make starting today in Florida. What joy!

Glad to hear she isn't feeling absolutely horrible. I'm glad it's you (instead of me) fighting with travel insurance....yuck.

I have been away for a week or so. So I now read avout the positives test from Holly for the virus. That's not good news. Glad she's not having very heavy sympons.
Chris, you know the result from your test?
Needless to say that Holly and you are in my prayers.
It's sad you need to cancel the vacation to Florida.

I received a negative result from my test.
She is totally symptom free without taking any medicine. Sadly, because of quarantine rules in Tennessee, she has to stay home for 10 days after diagnosis. I have to stay home for her 10 days and then get 14 more of my own to make sure I don't have it. This mess is so stupid. Had I tested positive, I could have gone back to work in 10 days as well. This makes no sense to me at all.

I've kind of gotten to the point where I'm not even sure I trust the tests. Seems like they get a lot of false positives and false negatives. Sorry you have to miss work, but really happy to hear that Holly is feeling better. Just like the President, she kicked Covid's butt!

On a less than happy note I think I might have dodged getting Covid-19 last week. I was supposed to go into the office on Friday and work directly with the lady who does our payroll for a few hours (she is leaving this Spring and I need to take over her duties). My stomach was bothering me so I rescheduled. Well it turns out her husband (one of the old partners in our firm) was very sick for a few days before (and a few more days after). Then the next day she got rather sick herself. They both got tested yesterday and are both positive for Covid19. Thankfully they are both recovering (and fortunately did not lose their sense of smell). I have to fly to Arizona next week with my wife for an important meeting regarding our new home purchase. Needless to say I wouldn't have been doing that. Even if I didn't catch the nasty bug, I would have had to been quarantined for two weeks.

Oh yes (thank you). My nose is still bothering me a little, but I think it might just be allergies.
