I have only bought one Bride CD. A compilation disc I grabbed a few years ago cheap at the Christian bookstore. I liked what I heard and every song was good. This was around the time of Tsar Bomba came out so I sampled it and didn't care for it at all.
I went ahead and preordered this one based on the one song. I liked it enough to give it a go if it is a return to a classic type sound and not a Skin For Skin type sound.
I only have two released. The one mentioned above and the comp disc that Cliffy remastered and gave out with the band's blessing.

Not a "Skin For Skin" sound? Man, I love that album! It has the aggression of "Snakes In The Playground" but with some thrashy elements, too. That album was just heavy! Of course, the remaster did help as the cymbals were way to loud on the original. Cliffy did a version that tones those down and it made ALL the difference.
To be honest, most of my favorite albums by Bride are in the same vein with some differences. Seriously, aren't all of these with that bluesy hard rock style?
Snakes In The Playground Scarecrow Messiah (Snakes 2 withouot backing vocals) This Is It Skin For Skin Tsar Bomba Kinetic Faith Incorruptible Fistful of Bees (would have been Snakes 2 if Dale had sang instead of rapped) Drop (More distortion and more leads and it would have been the same. Live it sounded a lot like the previous two albums.) The Jesus Experience (had more grunge effects on the guitars--with more of a metal sound and again more leads this would have been more on the Snakes road)
The first three albums and "Oddities" are really the only ones that didn't track in the Bride hard rock vein to me. Sure, they've all had a different feel, but so do AC/DC's albums. People slam them for doing the same album over and over but they are all different--some with more aggression and some with less. Bride is no different.

I thought one of the slams on Bride was just the opposite--they changed styles to match current trends too much. I don't think that is really a true assessment of their music, but that was the big complaint I heard most often.

I don't really mind bands changing their sound, it's there right really. But I'd rather they stay the same, as that way you know what you're getting.
I kind of put Bride albums in to ones I love, like, or think are okay. I don't have any of theirs that I think are bad.
LOVE Show No Mercy Live To Die Silence Is Madness Snakes In The Playground Oddities

To be honest, Oddities has dropped to my least favorite. They are just all over the place with the music and the album is just over saturated with ballads. I used to play it some but haven't listened it it in years.
I don't get why Incorruptible gets slammed on. Sure, these veteran rockers were showing their age and you could hear it in the music. However, that album still rocks.

Shipping from the USA has become astronomical. You would be best served to wait until someone in the UK is carrying this.
They may be mock ups, but there have been photos of the stickers and CDs. I hope they end up shipping way before the tentative Aug. 18 release date.

It's interesting to search a way closer to my country to order CDs.

I've seen Bride on multiple occasions, always a great show....but my favorite was touring for Scarecrow Messiah, I was helping load in for the show and someone rolled the bass player's SVT cabinet in from the truck and set it down in front of the stage. Somehow it started to tip over and Dale ran to try and catch it and the top edge of it hit him right on top of his left foot. Those cabs weigh about 170 lbs and it had some good momentum, totally broke several bones in his foot. He got through soundcheck, the entire concert, signed stuff for people afterwards, and than went to the hospital to get checked out.

Man, this is gonna be a face melter! The "John The Baptist" song they used as a single to tease the album is easily the weakest on the disc, and that is no insult at all. The rest of the album is just stinkin' heavy!!!

Wish I new what the presenter was saying at the end (after the album preview) about Axl Rose, Stryper, and Dale Thompson

On my first two listens to the pre-release MP3s, this is definitely on par with "Snakes In The Playground" as far as intensity is concerned. Whether it becomes that belo Ed will only be shown with multiple listens.

If they don't like Bride, this album might sway them.
