| Has everyone seen the new Bride update? It seems that they will be doing the next album in a sort of 70's rock/hard rock style, but also giving it a 'live' feel aswell. Sounds like it could be another change for the band (regarding musical direction) so some people will probably not be too keen on the result. I'll be buying it though, as i think that all the albums they've produced have been great (apart from Drop, which is better now than when I first listened to it, but still not too good - and The Jesus Experience, which does pretty much nothing for me, although I'm not sure why.) | I thought that musically "Skin For Skin" was one of their best. I don't see the need for another change--unless they are wanting to try to appeal to the fans of Jet or Wolfmother. Do the fans really WANT another style change? Or, is this really something that the band wanted to try just because they can? If they are doing this because they just want to stretch out musically, then that's cool. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Hmmmmm, I have no idea what to think of Bride anymore. I always liked their changing music styles. Even Fist Full Of Bees I liked. For me I'll wait and listen and them I make a decision | |

| Well Yvonne, that's cool that you enjoyed all their changes. And hey, I've stuck with them from beginning to present, no matter what phase they went through. But I think Alldat is right - I think a lot of their fans are just plain fed up with all the style changes. It seems like the band just can't make up their minds what they want to do or what audience they want to reach. As a die-hard fan, I'm sure I'll end up picking up this new album, especially since I'm totally into 70s stuff. But I just wish they'd solidify themselves a little. I mean hey, I'm all for a band following their own style instead of just trying to please the market all the time, but I have to wonder if these guys even KNOW what they want anymore. Either way, no matter what they do, I'm still, and always will be, a die-hard fan. I mean hey, even "Drop" makes it into my CD player once in a blue moon! | |

| If they are trying to make a "magic" album that 99% of their fans (old and new) will love, I don't think it is going to happen, no matter what the style. If they are just doing it because they want to create an album in that style, great! _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Bluegrass metal could be interesting. Could get some nice distortion going on that electric banjo. They're from KY after all. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| They could do bluegrass. That's how they got their start: singing with the family in a gospel bluegrass group. On "Drop", you will hear Troy playing the banjo and mandolin on a couple of tracks. So, PLEASE don't joke about a bluegrass album!!!

| A Bluegrass Bride? An electric banjo, maybe is there an electric mandolin or an electric fiddle to find. | |

With Bride, you never know! But, you can guarantee that if they did do something like that, then I am NOT buying it.
