| I like all their albums with the exception of The Jesus Experience which I just can't seem to get in at all. He's still got an amazing voice though.

| The only bride album I ever liked was kinetic faith. It had a real late 70s raw hard rock sound to me. |

| Absolutely loved Silence Is Madness, and if they'd have gotten rid of Hot Down South and replaced it with Same Ol' Sinner and Everybody Knows My Name it would probably have been my favourite metal album from any band anywhere! right up until Theocracy's 2nd.

| I thought "best of Bride" was the collection of their "greatest hits" from "oddities" and "Jesus Experience" with a couple of Dale's solo stuff thrown in... not a very career spanning collection... nor one of much interest... | |

| For those of you who have read the lyrics from the newer albums, how much does Dale's theology impact the lyrics? | |

| Dale's theology has never impacted lyrics very much... but does that really matter? lol | |

It matters to me. Bride was one of my favorite bands up until Dale started espousing Universalism. Now I won't listen to them at all, no matter what the music style. |

| Except for a few songs, I don't think that Dale's universalist beliefs shine through all that much. I have been able to overlook a few lines that could be interpreted multiple ways and have done fine continuing to listen to them. My favorite is still "Snakes In The Playground", but "This Is It", "Tsar Bomba" and "Skin For Skin" are right up there with it for awesomeness. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| There are a few songs that are quite clear in their universalist approach, one song being "End Of Days."
From the beginning of the garden to the end and the grave Salvation of all comes by the cross, the blood, the life the name Every man, women and child followed Adam to the grave Your flesh he will destroy that your spirit will be saved
End of Days, end of days, the age is over Embrace the Revelation
Forever feels like sunshine
Tasted death for every man suffered for your sins Not willing that any should perish can you comprehend? Some will be saved so as by fire, the past is burned away First Begotten of the dead, Light of the world today
I saw the dead small and great stand before the throne I heard a voice out of heaven calling His children home Concluded them all in unbelief he'll have mercy on everyone By His grace and peace the Spirit and the Bride say come
--------------
It doesn't really matter to me too much for I can still read it the other way, if you take it that the song is about just Christians.
