I thought it was pretty cool. Was it groundbreaking? No. Was it entertaining? Yes!
I liked the whole general story about firing a particle accelerator in space to test to see if the earth's energy crisis could be solved that way. The tests to awry, and they create a paradox involving two dimensions with some freaky but cool results. You wouldn't know it was a Cloverfield movie until the end. The ending is not really explained, either. Sounds like a typical Cloverfield movie if you ask me!

Thanks, if you were entertained that's good. Seems to me to be the best that I can hope for with most movies.

Sounds like a knock-off horror film. Like it has this tag line "Before there was "The Ring"....there was....."The Circle".

The tagline on Amazon Prime is: "A woman lands a dream job at a powerful tech company called the Circle, only to uncover an nefarious agenda that will affect the lives of all of humanity."
With Tom Hanks, Patton Oswalt and Emma Watson the trailer made it look good. Start to finish: Dull. Nothing really happens.

Samson
A good movie. It had all the aspects of the story and took a few liberties without compromising the story as a whole. I was so familiar with the movie Samson and Delilah(1949) that I kept wondering how much it would be like that.
One of the previews before the movie was for another flick called Paul: Apostle of Christ. It is being done by Affirm Films (Risen, War Room).

It sounded like a fun"save the earth" movie. Sure, it has a whole global warming/climate change message, but it was fun. The story was probably the weakest part, but the actors did a good job on it.

What would you consider as the 2nd Jumanji film? Zathura? I don't think I have ever seen it.
Tonight I finished up the rest of Season 2 of Travelers. Someone should have foreseen in the future that I would run out of episodes quickly and they would send someone back to reprogram Netflix to carry all future episodes. Having to wait stinks!!!

Yeah, the Zathura film was pretty much Jumanji in space (kind of)....so I always thought of it as the sequel to Jumanji. It wasn't a horrible film, but certainly the least of the three.
I'm trying to only watch an episode of Travelers each week (to make it last). I just finished up episode 3 today.

Watched the Cloverfield Paradox last night. Found it pretty entertaining, especially the arm scenes (but I also think Chris O'Dowd is great).
Also on the recommendation of Guilty/Forgiven I watched Tropic Thunder a few nights ago. Wow, what a turd-fest that film was.
