Finished Netflix British Royals drama "The Crown" season 2 last night. 
My wife likes it considerably more than I do, but I have to say it is pretty good.  Tough to find a series we both enjoy together.

I was a huge fan of the Dark Tower series books and with the exception of Idris Elba doing a great job with the Roland character, I thought the movie came out rather weak...even as a stand alone film not associated with the novels.

Just seen Antman & The Wasp.

It was good fun, if a little superficial!  Still, it made us laugh, so that's all good!

We watched all three seasons on Hulu.  Now, I will have to wait until the new shows start before I can watch it again.  I want to see how Jonah and Amy's relationship progress.  My favorite character on there is Garrett.  He is sarcastic and always stirring things up just for giggles.  He is so mischievous!

Oh, much to my wife's chagrin, I can do a perfect impersonation of Glenn, the store manager!

Garrett is fantastic.  My favorite character has to be Dina.  Actually (to me anyway) the supporting cast truly makes the show, their personalities are so over the top that they carry the comedy of the show. Glenn, Garret, Sandra, Marcus, Dina or Cheyenne can always be counted on to say something witty, stupid or inappropriate at the best time.  I don't think I would watch the show if it was basically just the two main characters Amy and Jonah, they are my two least favorite on the show.

True, seems like its the rare show that can make it past season 3 or 4 without becoming tiresome, annoying or jumping the shark.

Good to know, maybe my disappointment in the Dark Tower did stem from being a super fan of the novels.

I enjoyed the whole series, although some of the seasons were much worse than others.  I felt like they were starting to pick things back up when it got cancelled.  Wait until you get to the season with the blatant product placements.

I just finished Sharp Objects.  I saw it advertised as a thriller, but I didn't really get that vibe from it.  More of a mystery/dealing with your personal demons/"Hey we're on HBO so we can say f___ a lot" kind of show.

^What'd you think of it?  I thought it was quite good.  The guy who wrote/directed it has this style that I don't love (everyone talks to one another in this vague/introspective/symbolic and quite unnatural way that distances the viewer from the character and story) but overall it was a good movie.

The Open House


It was a movie on Netflix about this woman and her teenage son who, through some ill timed experiences, move into a mansion owned by the woman's sister.  They stay in this house to help with showing the house to potential buyers.  After the first open house, signs point to someone staying behind and staying in the house.  Scary stuff happens after that.

OK, that might not be a great synopsis, but I didn't want to give away all the details for you.
