I know who Zain is, but I don't care that he's leaving 1D. I don't really keep up with them. He's also one of the two people I can remember. Like, I know the names, except one. 3 of them I always get mixed up. I constantly forget one of their names. Whatever. I don't need to know...

I heard about that last night while still at church. Tornadoes are probably the scariest natural phenomena due to their unpredictability.

Yep. I remember several years ago when we lived in Lexington there was a couple who were reporters for a local news station. There was a really big storm system coming through and they were called in on their day off to help cover the storm (because I guess news programs think we won't believe it happened if they don't have a reporter standing out in the middle of it?). Around 10 that evening an F3 tornado went through their neighborhood and took out their bedroom.

I wrote a couple country/folk/blues tunes for guitar, but I can't sing and play at the same time. Too hard for me to get the timing right.

I can't sing and play at the same time ever. But I guess that's to be expected since I can't sing OR play! LOL!

I had to learn to sing and play at the same time. I was playing on a church praise team and wouldn't even try as I was on bass. One Sunday, the pastor's wife (pianist) came over and stuck a mic in front of me. I hadn't noticed I was singing anyway. LOL I was playing bass and singing harmony parts and occasionally lead.
Then, three of us from that praise teams started a blues/rock band called Stressin'. The guitarist and I shared the lead vocal duties. I've sang and played ever since when I knew I was going to play a song in front of people. Many of my Mission Of One recordings I sang after I recorded the music. With the new blues stuff, though, I am learning many of the songs both musically and vocally before I ever hit the studio.

I find it's easy for me to play bass and sing harmony, usually simultaneously, even if the parts are tricky. Guitar isn't so simple for me, though.

CROW ROAD KILLS
Researchers for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority found over 200 dead crows near greater Boston recently, and there was concern that they may have died from Avian Flu. A Bird Pathologist examined the remains of all the crows and, to everyone's relief, confirmed the problem was definitely NOT Avian Flu. The cause of death appeared to be vehicular impacts. However, during the detailed analysis it was noted that varying colors of paints appeared on the bird's beaks and claws. By analyzing these paint residues it was determined that 98% of the crows had been killed by impact with trucks, while only 2% were killed by an impact with a car. MTA then hired an Ornithological Behaviorist to determine if there was a cause for the disproportionate percentages of truck kills versus car kills.
The Ornithological Behaviorist very quickly concluded the cause: when crows eat road kill, they always have a look-out crow in a nearby tree to warn of impending danger. They discovered that while all the lookout crows could shout "Cah", not a single one could shout "Truck."
