| Haven't been on much lately......busy with work and church.
Our Christmas Eve service was amazing.....I'm in a town of 18,000 people and we had 1,040 of them in church!

| Bassdude, glad you could find some time to keep in touch with us. What I think is that most forums are quiet around Christmas and the last day of the year. | |

| Fighting seasonal depression disorder... aka the blues. I've no reason to feel down as I have been blessed beyond measure, but cuz of some stupid flow of seratonin in the brain, I feel the same as someone who just lost their spouse or something. I hate having this. I clearly recognize the major blessings God has poured into my life, but as for "feelings", I'm just so depressed. I HATE this so much.
Just had to vent. | |

| Do you take meds for this g/f? My wife is bipolar and gets this in the winter. Generally they up her meds a little and she keeps busy and this seems to solve the problem. |

| My mom really struggles with seasonal depresssion, she spends a little time every day with a sunlamp and she got some meds 'cause her thyroid wasn't working very well and she does a lot better these days than she used to. | |

| Thanks guys. Don't wanna be a whiner and turn this thread into a depressed discussion, I just wanted to vent and tell somebody. Thanks for listening and for prayers. PS tried the medicine route (been a pharmacy tech for 25 years, so I've tried them all) - while they help many, they're not my answer unfortunately... too many terrible side effects. (and thanks for the laugh BT , your poor mom) | |

| Well G/F, the thing is this..not kidding here...my mom is 85% Marie on Everybody Loves Raymond and 15% Evelyn on two and a half men...she is extremely passive aggressive and narcissistic and she things Joyce Meyers is the Savior ...we all just deal with it by not dealing with her. My whole family is kinda messed up I haven't talked to my brother in 3 years and all my kids reject the gospel and shack up with their "partners" and the women my sons are with are still married to someone else ...but what can I do? Thats just the way it is. |

| Wow, that's definitely a tough situation. I hate hearing things like that, I'm sorry. It does seem more and more that families are struggling to keep it together - especially families with Christians in them. | |

| Do you find it odd that the US government is on the brink of financial meltdown and they seem to be more worried about gun control than fixing our broken revenue system? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| There's a bunch of tax cuts from the Bush era that expire January 1.
Then, people in my tax bracket (making below $75,000 a year) will have their Social Security tax increase from 4.2% to 6.2%, which is awesome for me since I just took a $2500 a year pay cut in October. People making between $75k and $250 a year will go to a much higher overall bracket, losing somewhere around 38% of their pay to taxes.
The milk thing is what scares people. If there's an abundance of milk right now, the government buys it and sells it to other countries. That also stops January 1. For some reason the media thinks at that point the price of milk will skyrocket. The problem is the market will be flooded and the price should actually plummet.

| There is so much milk manufactured that it is treated like a waste product and pumped into almost every packaged food (just look at the label), heck it's even in the bread you buy.
I think I'm finally starting to get over this nast creeping crud I have had since Christmas afternoon. Was so sick I slept straight (almost) for 2 days...and lost 9 pounds (not that I couldn't afford it). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We ship almost as much milk out of the country as we consume.
Staybrite, maybe I can lose some weight by getting sick. Plus I'll be off work a few days!

Just had to vent. Not sure if that is what I've been going through recently, or if it's related to all my other problems. I used to love the winter and the cold, and despised the summertime, but now I am the exact opposite, and I've felt so drained for the last 2 months. I've often fantasized about giving up mentally, and welcoming the thought of being in a straight jacket inside of a padded cell, but now, not so much. I am determined to not let myself get down. I woke up from a nap yesterday, and I just felt terrible. After a few hours, I had to dig up the resolve to snap out of it.

| There is an old law that says that if a farm bill expires and no new one is in place the government will buy the products (like milk) at double the current market value. Whatever the government pays for the product (like milk) then becomes the market value of the product in the stores. This goes back to the 40's. |

Don't feel any less of yourself cuz of these emotions, or "blues" - you aren't crazy. Just realize that it passes. I tend to vent my emotions here at times which really helps me at my worse, but I know in the back of my mind and heart that "this too shall pass" - and though i feel like crap emotionally and drained spiritually, I know a better day's coming. Just keep that hope.

| Guilty/Forgiven, that's what we as children of one Father have to do for each other. Pray when one of us need the prayers. Praying really helps. I've felt it in the rough days mom was dying. | |
