I wonder if you can quit downloading on eMusic for awhile?
When you like it again to download CDs there again you can join?
For now I'm done with downloading there.
I prefer physical CDs for now.

Send them an e-mail and let them know you want to suspend your account, and see what they say. I think you can always quit, but if (or when) you restart they probably won't give quite the same deal you have now.

I'm pretty sure when you say you want to "quit", they just suspend your account and you can resume it whenever you want. It's been a while since I've had one though. I used to have an emusic account a long time ago, but that's before they started getting so many more new releases. Back then it was mostly local and indie music.

Any recommendations on any bands with an 80's hard rock/metal sound that I might have missed in the last couple of years?

The CWC sounds pretty good. I ordered the cd last night.

I really liked that too, kind of reminded me a little of 70's era Heart.

eMusic is still changing. I noticed several of the albums put out by labels are getting higher priced. Also, even though I had money left over from the previous month, I did not get to keep it when my new month's billing started. I guess it's use it or lose it now.

I'm going to search 'til I find enough to run out my credits and then I am leaving and not going back.

They let me keep 6 or 7 cents from my last month and carry over into the new month. And yes I did notice that some of the albums are nearly (or just) as expensive as other places.
I'm gonna stick with them for now because I still download about 3 albums a month for less than $16

My left over money from last month is gone too.

The do have a few singles, and it looks like the only full album they have is their "You Alone" alubm

It looks like their new album isn't on eMusic yet....that happens sometimes.......seems like some artists/record labels wait to see if they can sell the more profitable cds or Amazon/Itunes downloads before they release stuff to eMusic.
