Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
We saw "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" on the preview Sat. I'd never read the book that I can recall but thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

Just picked up some dvds from the library thru rental…
The Fugitive TV series season 1 I have been wanting to see this for a loooong time. Picked up season 1 volume 1 and season 1 volume 2. Each volume has 4 discs and each season has 30 episodes!
The Command I had never heard of this but found out it is based on a true story.

Gave up on Bones. Got tired of the offensive worldliness. Woke before woke was woke.
Now I’m doing Agents of Shield again.

You ever come across something you are sure you have not seen before then afterwards get a sense of dejavu because it feels so familiar. I just went through it.

Jerry & Marge Go Large (2022) - Apparently based on a true account of a retired mathematics genius who found a loophole in a state lottery that would pretty much always guarantee him a win, and what he did with it. A really neat movie with a cool morality tale. (no real violence or sex, very little profanity)

We like the Great Christmas Light Fight and found a channel on Pluto TV that has it on 24 hours a day! So we watched that last night and probably will again tonight.

Watching season 10 of the original Walking Dead Series. My son got me into this just over 11 years ago. He was only 14 and really wanted to watch it, so he convinced me to let him watch it, if I could watch it with him. Three seasons later he was gone in the Army and watching it by himself. I made it up to season 8 before I quit because I was getting tired of it (and the ridiculousness of the human "villains" the heroes where up against each season). He (my son) finished the series, but I never did and he convinced me to start watching it again. I think I have 10 more episodes to finish season 10 and one more season after that before I am done.

^Are you liking it any more/less the second go-around? A friend had season 1 on blu-ray that he let me borrow maybe 10 years ago or so. I finished it but never had any desire to continue the series. It was too much of a soap-opera for me haha.
Spoiler:
The "OMG she's pregnant... with that other guy's kid!" cliffhanger at the end of the season was just so ridiculous.

I didn't start completely over again. I re-watched Season 8 because I wasn't sure if I had finished it or not yet. I'm probably enjoying it slightly more than I was when I left off, but mostly because I'm not burned out on it anymore (after a 3 year break).
You are correct, it is a total soap opera... just with zombies. What's funny is a lot of "action" oriented television seems to be soap opera wrapped into a different genre. I had a friend try to get me into the biker gang show "Sons of Anarchy" (and I couldn't get into it)... but it's also a soap opera. Same with that terrible cattle rancher show my wife loves (Yellowstone). Lot's of violence and villainy, but very much soap opera. What's funny is that "other guy's kid" you mentioned is still a main character. She's probably 10 years old, and is one of the coolest characters on the show. For zombie series I think I probably liked the "Z-Nation" series best. It had humor in it and didn't take itself too seriously even when it delved into the soap opera style story lines.

Christmas With The Kranks (2004) Kind of a modern Christmas comedy film with new empty nesters played by Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis planning to skip all the trappings of Christmas and instead go on a Caribbean cruise instead. Didn't seem nearly as funny compared to the first few times we saw it.
Scrooged (1988) The "modern" take on Dicken's Christmas Carol staring Bill Murray. I haven't seen this one in probably 15+ years. I had forgotten that Bob Goldthwait, and Carol Kane had such cool parts in the movie.

We watched Christmas with the Kranks a number of years ago and weren't really impressed with it. It has a few moments but for the most part it's just OK.
I haven't seen Scrooged in many, many moons.

Haha right on. Yeah it's interesting how the soap-opera format really hasn't changed. They just sprinkle in some zombies and post-apocalyptic setting, and voila! Oh, another thing about The Walking Dead that made my eyes roll is how characters would consistently make head-shots on zombies while they were running and firing behind them.
Funny, I tried that Sons Of Anarchy show a couple times and never got past the first episode. Never saw Yellowstone though, but per your description, I'll gladly continue to pass on it!
