A crisp 35 degrees this morning! I threw a chuck roast on the smoker. Will take all day and probably won’t be ready by dinner time but there is always tomorrow.

Turns out I'm full of it. Vehicle is fine.

Well Covid-19 has finally hit the Staybrite household.  
My wife and her sister just returned from a 2 week cruise to Hawaii.  Mrs Staybrite's sister got a cold almost a week ago from some British Piano Player she had been snuggling up to on the cruise.  A few days before the cruise was over my wife caught the cold (they shared a cabin on the ship so it was bound to happen).
Monday night I picked them up from the airport and they were both tired and worn out.  Tuesday afternoon my wife took a home Covid test on a whim and sure enough she tested positive.  She called her sister right away who took a test when she got home also tested positive.  
So we shall see if I get it (likely since we live in such close proximity in this house).  The wife was vaxxed and boosted (required to get on the ship).  I am vaxxed and did get one booster, but didn't bother with a second booster when I was eligible about 3 months ago... so I guess we shall see how it goes.
Really kind of surprised it took my wife so long to catch this nasty bug since she has worked in a hospital for the last 6 years.

Winter is here.  Twenties tonight.  Brr!

Same here. Supposed to start snowing today around 1 pm and continue off and on thru Monday. Someone at work “kiss 70 degrees goodbye until May”.

It was 78 degrees here on Thursday.  We had a lot of rain yesterday with a high of 68.  Today, we will only hit a balmy 42 with a chance of snow flurries.  Tennessee's weather is definitely bi-polar!

So far, I prefer the cooler temps.

Here it is sunny and dry, warm for this time of the year.

Down in the 40s here this morning.  I think we are looking at a whopping high of 64 in the Arizona desert.  We just might have to turn the heat on. 

Supposed to get to 38 tonight with 100% chance of rain. Tomorrow it is expected to rain more.

Been snowing for 2 days straight here! I love it!

Back to writing. The Lord said it's time. One page done so far, along with some editing.

Mrs Staybrite and I are mostly recovered from the covid-flu.  She head back to work today.  We were both happy to have gotten a weaker strain of this nonsense, for our first bought with it.  We both feel like the last people in the world who actually caught it.  Missed nearly a week of work and now I'm being punished by several work emergencies that are going to be fun/tough to deal with. 

For whatever reason, Forumotion added this "recently shared images" feature and set it as default for the forums.  It took a bit but I figured how to disable it in case anyone here is interested.    (Folks on CMR seemed happy to see it gone.)



The irony is that this image will now show up on the homepage haha.

I keep waiting for someone here to complain about it... instead of making a unilateral decision to just disable it like ONE of the mods/admins dit at the CMR  
  

Either people here don't care, or they are just too lazy to complain about it. 

LOL.  Yeah those mods (mod?) at CMR are totally out of control.  

Nobody complained about it on CMR either, but when I removed it, a few folks commented that they were happy to see it gone.

I saw those and was like, "Ok.  That's weird."

2 weeks ago.
Daughter - I need some food for the Christmas hamper at school in two weeks time.
Me - Okay, no trouble.  Son, do you need some food aswell?
Son - No, I don't need any.

1 day before Christmas hamper day.
Me - I've got your food, it's in the bag.
Daughter - Thanks Dad.
Me - Son, are you sure you don't need any food for the hamper.
Son - No, I don't need any.

Morning of Christmas hamper day.  10 minutes before going to school.
Son - I need some food for the Christmas hamper at school.
Me - Doh!
Son - What?

Your daughter is the oldest child isn't she?
If yes, that is typical of first born vs. second born.... If not I guess it's more of a boy vs. girl sort of thing.
Either way it's hilarious because it's happening to you and not me!

I hadn't noticed you guys were talking about this.  Seeing that you are, I figured you found it annoying.  I have now turned that off.  Thanks for sharing the info!

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of it either and certainly won't miss it.  But I love to have some reason to bust Kerrick's chops.
