Busy bee today.  Finished cleaning the house, and got back into writing a bit.  I extracted a bit of material from one novel and placed it in a file for another future one; and brought the original source material up-to-date.  Also added a bit to a third one.  Plus Bride should be here later. 

I would rather write than clean house....but I haven't written anything in years (not that I've ever been a prolific writer).  Done a ton of house cleaning though.

Ugh a friendly conversation with a coworker became political and now I just feel discouraged and bleh. It's striking at just how polarized we've all become...

It has gotten pretty bad, especially since too many people seem to think it's okay to hate you because your political opinion differs from theirs.

Totally ridiculous!!! I only hate people because of  what's in their record collection

Indeed. I'm old enough to have seen [relatively] polite discussion in-person carry over to online, online discussion to generally get harsher and crueler, and now that harshness is carrying over back into in-person (and over the phone).

I will say too that the rhetoric he was using was straight out of CNN or NPR or the like's headlines: stuff like, "Trump is literally the closest thing to Hitler I've ever seen," "is a fascist," etc. Say what you will about Trump, but he's no fascist dictator. The influence of the news/media is so incredibly powerful - which is what's got me so discouraged. I've been praying a lot for discernment and protection from the deception that's being flung all over the place.

We're getting a real winter this week.
The wind is blowing hard from the east.

It will snow tonight till tomorrow.
About 20 centimetres of snow is falling.

It's going to freeze hard. minus 11 Celcius. That's cold for us.
So Matsi and I have to walk in the snow tomorrow.

We have a blizzard today.

We got another little dusting of snow that didn't even cover the ground.  I love it!

It's really winter here.
It started to snow on Sunday night and it's not snowing anymore now.
The hard eastern wind was so cold.

I hope to see the sun soon again.
Cloudy winter days make me blue.

Now my husband has two broken ribs, it's hard for me to keep all balls in the air.
I have to so so much now.

And we just had some pretty bad ice the other day.

We have a few inches of snow right now.  It's also flippen cold!
Also We are trying to load our moving POD right now and everything is covered in snow!!!

Oh dang! Yeah it is cooooooooold here too. My parents' car said 5.8 degrees F this morning!

I have to make some tough decisions with my church.  We were bankrupt and bouncing checks back in Oct. 2019.  We made some drastic changes and kept the church afloat.  We even started to recover back during the summer and it seemed that we were financially getting stronger.

Well, with several members staying home due to COVID and now the cold, we aren't taking in what we were.  Heating the building costs way more than cooling it.  We have a large insurance bill due at the end of the month.  We can make our other bills and keep salaries, or we can pay for the insurance.  Cutting salaries means I have to decide if I will pastor the church for free or only get paid what was promised me when we actually have the funds.

Without a huge influx of funds or several new members who are generous givers, we won't last much longer.  It is sad, but I wondered even when I took this little church if I were going there to lay it to rest.  It may actually happen this time.
