| While I have a couple of ideas for upcoming Hangin' With Pastor Chris videos, do you guys/girls have any suggestions for topics? I'd like to be able to get more subscribers/watchers, and better topics might help with that. I don't want to start having to be overly controversial just to get watchers.
I am having trouble getting people from my own church to watch. We have no Sunday night or Wed. night services, so I was hoping that the old people (most of whom are on Facebook) would watch these to kind of be our mid-week message. I know they know how to share something as well. Is there anything I could do to make changes to the videos to get folks to watch/share? If I need to change the name, that's cool. I don't care. I just want it to be a casual message where I can talk to people like we are just sitting down together for a conversation.
One thing that I am doing is adding curtains to my office. That will help take out any light from outside so that my mini lighting rig will do the trick. It will also look more inviting, I think, without building a backdrop or "soundstage". I enjoy doing these videos and don't really want to spam pages on FB, but I don't know how else to get people to watch.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Well, first I would change the title from 'Hangin' With Pastor Chris' to 'Pastor Chris' Heavy Metal Hour". That should help gain the attention of the older people...
In all seriousness, how about a series of messages discussing what the Bible says about happiness. As Christians are we guaranteed happiness? Or more specifically, should we be pursuing happiness in the first place?

| Just a few quick ideas come to mind.
Abstinence, sexual purity
Anger, road rage, treating people with kindness etc.
Tithing, people love sermons on tithing...that should keep them riveted and cause tons of viewership (ok, obviously I'm kidding with this one). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I like that road rage idea.
My next will be on baseless fear.

| Bassless fear: (noun) That feeling created in the pit of ones stomach when the Bass Player is running late. Synonym: Despair | |

| I know this isn’t exactly what you had in mind but maybe choose a book of The Bible and talk about it verse by verse. James would probably be a good one to start with or if you’re really feeling adventurous do Romans. | |

That would potentially take forever. I doubt many people would even sit still to watch it if it were a longer book. I don't even preach that way on Sundays.

I guess that’s just the theologian in me speaking. Maybe instead of doing a here by verse maybe just talk about a favorite book of The Bible or favorite passage in scripture and share what it means to you and how people can apply it to their personal lives

Now you know what my song "Sea Of Despair" was about! | I have written down all of your suggestions and will pray which to do first. I have enough suggestions right now for 14 more videos.
Question:. Should I aim to do these and release them on a particular day each week, or just keep with the randomness I am so good at?
Question:. Should I keep using my office or try to build a backdrop/soundstage area? Maybe just a photo backdrop?
Question:. Are you enjoying my videos or watching them just because you feel obligated to because we are friends? I truly value your honesty here.

| Answers to your questions.
-Keep them random, if you set a specific schedule you will fell bound to it and making and releasing them may come to feel like a burden (at least it would for me).
-I suggest do them different places, just to keep them lively...If you build a backdrop and end up not liking it you might feel like you wasted your time (so don't spend a lot of time and/or money on it).
-I'll admit to feeling obligated to watch the first one....but I liked what you are doing (and the messages) so I keep watching them. I also feel like I can be more critical of you because we are friends. I'm expecting you won't take any criticism from me as a personal attack. I don't care how much I like someone, I'm not going to continue to invest even 5-10 minutes into something they are doing if it holds no interest or relevance to me. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Random is good, just don't let too much time pass between them.
Change of locale can be good.
There is a little sense of obligation, but like Gary, I like what you're doing.
