I have a $10 Amazon MP3 credit. Any suggestions of one good album I could get? I haven't been getting a lot of music for the past year, but recently have picked up several releases (Divine Metal's 25 CD bundle, and some other cheap CDs from a Lifeway). I am looking for one great album that I may have missed so far in the Christian music world. So, fire away on suggestions if you don't mind.

As for suggestions...these are all new this year

HB - The Battle of God

Harvest Bloom - Let it Go (ep)

Liberty N Justice - Chasing a Cure LP

Medisin Wheel - Fire On the Moon (these guys sound a lot like F.O.G.)

Stryper - The Covering

Vision - Streetfighter

There have also been several (many many) reissues this year, but if I remember correctly you don't seem to be interested in most of those...

OK, my certifcate only is good for a few weeks, so Menchen is out.

That title by HB isn't available yet, so it is out.

I really like the Harvestbloom sound, it is a maybe.

Liberty N Justice - So far this is the choice.

Medisin Wheel - I like what I can hear, but the silliness of tracks like "Table Talk" and "Chupa Cabra" really kill this for me.

I have the Stryper CD, and I also got the Vision album recently with a different promotion.

Still taking suggestions, but for now the Liberty N Justice disc is in the lead over Harvestbloom.

The HB disc is out, but not at Amazon. I'd go with LnJ myself.

Yes, I'm sure. Everything has been recorded. All that's left is mixing, mastering, and then it ships. When exactly, I don't know. I'm keeping up with Bill on FB.

I'm betting it will be Spring of 2012 before this comes out. If he still has to mix and master, that could take months. Then, the manufacturing takes around 30 days depending on how many discs are made. On top of that, then the label needs time to advertise/promote the disc before they release it. It will be next year.

Well, not every one has mixing woes. geek

I'm also excited for DTS, which is currently at the approximate same step as Electric Saints.

If you like Power Metal I would suggest FG Battle for Souls.

Sorry I thought for sure Amazon had that one by now.

I agree those tracks are rather lame, but I listen to almost all of my music on MP3 so I just delete/skip those two tracks, makes the album much more solid IMO.

OK, I have decided to go with Liberty 'N Justice, but I found out there are two I don't have. So, which is the better option "Light it Up" or "Chasing a Cure"?

My vote goes for "Light it Up", cuz it is definitely the more rockin' of the two.

Chasing a Cure is still good, but it was released as a fund-raiser for the Epilepsy Foundation (Justin's daughter has epilepsy).....and the album is a little ballad heavy (probably due to the "Chasing a Cure" theme prevalant in the first 5 or 6 tracks). Not at all bad, just not quite as rocking as "Light it Up"

Definitely "Light It Up". But, if you can afford both, you should get them.
