Today is my LAST day at my work. I've been here for nearly eight years and it was my first job out of college. It'll be weird to leave but I'm very excited for what's in store for us in Idaho.
Great news! (so you're off to be a potato eningeer?)

It's what Jen has said. A lot of changes for the CHM members.
TTDR is back to work and has made 11.000 steps.
Kerrick has finished his old job and will start a new one. What about a potato engnineer? Kerrick, how's your wife doing?
Hardkore, that's sad to read about your hearing loss.
Evandandstoke have released a new album .... yipppeee.
Chris has his first certificate for taking sign lessons.
Gary has all the heathers out.
And me .... I've do do so many things in and around the house. My grandsons are not coming for a while. The oldest is with his parents on vacation. The youngest has vacation because his mom is teacher at a high school.

Listed like that RV, it sure does seem we're a busy bunch at the moment. No standing still for this lot!
I think the potato engineer was a joke. Kerrick is moving to Idaho, a place known for its potatoes...the "Idaho spud." I think Staybrite was suggesting that if Kerrick is moving to Idaho he MUST be going to work with potatoes because that's what EVERYONE does there....isn't it??? (it's not really what everyone does there, but that's the joke). The part of that conversation I haven't understood was TTDR's comment "he's going to live in his own private Idaho." I think you have to be American to get that one.
With your grandsons not coming for a while, you'll be free to get even more done around the house. Will you be planting a spring garden soon, Yvonne?

Is that duct tape holding his guitar strap on?????

Still doing awesome. I've just had a shock. I wondered how much distance 10,000 steps represents. Holy moly, it's 5 M-I-L-E-S!!!!!!! Yup. Doin' awesome TTDR

It's quite possible the guitarist was using duct tape for his strap
And yes, the electric blue pants and red shoes are definitely striking

Jen, I'm working out a garden plan. I've a rock garden and that needs some new plants. For next spring I want to plant lots of bulbs this fall.
Yep, I've my hands free to do other things now.

Ooo, I love a nice rock garden, especially one with lovely ornamental grasses and a few ground creepers. They're so soothing.
When I moved into my current house, I made a garden plan. It was so much fun to work out what would go where. Unfortunately, I've only managed to finish a few of the jobs to make the plan a reality. What I found when work started was that the previous owner left all sorts of problems to be fixed. Most of what I've done so far is fixing the mess that was left behind.
What was the weirdest thing??? Under all of the weeds, I found that he'd used panes of glass as retaining walls. I kid you not! Of course, that's a really silly thing to use for a retaining wall. The roots of nearby trees had broken through the panes and left shards of glass across the length of the garden. It was SO ridiculous.
I've still got the plan and I'm still working towards it. It's just taking a lot longer than I though it would.

I've been doing some moving and settling in of my own. I filled my trunk and back seat to the brim with a decent amount of stuff to move into my new room; I still have a load or two to bring over, but the biggest part is done. I'm quite happy with it. I get my own bathroom and a mini fridge and plenty of crawl space storage (my 5'4" frame is fine with this), and it's a bit further from the rest of the rooms in the house, so I get enough room to play a bit of music without disturbing anyone. Plus, although it's a typical '70s bungalow, the owner, who's in my class, and his dad have renovated it, so it feels nice and modern overall. There are still obvious '70s details, but I think I'm going to enjoy it.
It's fun to see the spring of new beginnings for so many of us.

That's awesome, Driven. It sounds like a great set up. I loved my time flatting. There's a bit of adjusting...like when one of your flatmates decides to bake bread and then his clean up consists of washing the bowl...leaving dough on the cupboard handles, on the tap and fawcet, in the oven...
I ask you this, how does one get bread dough on the ceiling???
So yes, a bit of adjusting, but all up an awesome and entertaining experience. I'm so happy for you.

Oh you make me laugh, Xid. Nope. Just sisters. All these years I've wondered at the logistics of bread making and it's as simple as that? Brothers (and I take it, men in general). Mystery solved. Thanks.
