| I haven't even seen spidey 3 yet. Can I let my 8 year old watch it, or is it grotesquely violent? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Would you let your 8 yr. old watch the first two Spidey films? If not, then I wouldn't recommend this. But, if the 8 yr. old hasn't been emotionally scarred by those first two, then number 3 would be fine. There were three villians, but the action scenes were pretty much standard through all three films.
With McGuire signing a new contract for 2 more movies and Raimi signing on to direct them, I'm sure you'll get pretty much the same for Spidey 4 & 5. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Amazing Grace.
Yesterday night we went to the premier of Amazing Grace. I was very impressed by this movie. It has been the captain of a slave ship who has written the lyrics of this song. What a wonderful movie this has been.
Maybe you are interested to hear how I was confrontated with slavery when I visited Curacao two years ago.

| I would like to hear that story, actually. Yesterday, I rewatched the movie The Happening on DVD. I went to the theater and saw it as a matinee, and I thought it was crap. I had some people tell me to watch it but look for a more spiritual interpretation of the movie. It still comes off as a "Global Warming/earth killing humans because we're killing the planet" kind of movie. Total crap. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| August 17th is the day the people on Curacao remember the slavery rebellion of 1795. On August the 17th 2006 I stayed on Curacao to stay for a week with my sister and to bring my mom back home. My sister told me my brother-in-law should go to this remembrance. He’s a playwright and one of his play was played during the remembrance. I liked it to see one of his plays. I thought this remembrance is very important for the people at Curacao And decided to go with my brother-in-law the the remembrance.
The slaves worked on Curacao on the plantations of the big country cottages. There’s a monument as a remembrance to the execution who caused the big slavery rebellion. monument as a remembrance to the execution who caused the big slavery rebellion on Curacao. The leaders of the slavery rebellion were killed on a terrible way. The remembrance impressed me very much. I was one of the less white Caucasians I’ve seen there. How impressive it is to remember the slavery among so many black people whose ancestors were shipped from Africa to work for the white Caucasians.
For the first time in my life I felt deep ashamed what our ancestors have done to those people. My brother-in-law told me his great grand mother has been a slave too.

| I've only seen four movies in the theater this year (that I can recall):
Pirates Who Don't Do Anything Horton Hears A Who? Wall-E Igor
On my "to see" list: The Secret Life of Bees Beverly Hills Chihuahua Madagascar 2: Escape From Africa (comes out in two weeks)
As for DVDs - too many to count (especially since I've subscribed to Blockbuster Online for a few months now), but some include:
Most of the original Pink Panther movies Ferris Bueller's Day Off Most of the Muppet films Ocean's 11 and both sequels ET Colossus: The Forbin Project (thanks to my dad for telling me about this one) Lady and the Tramp 101 Dalmatians (original animated version)

I saw that one in the theater too. I actually thought it was pretty good. Recently on video with the family I saw "The Miracle of the Cards". _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I actually went to the theater and saw "Horton Hears A Who?" with a kid from our church. He and I both took a nap during the middle of it because we were bored stiff. Neither of us wanted to leave, though, because we paid to get in. I would not force myself to rewatch it. I feel the same way about "Madagascar".
