| I'd love for someone to take "This Present Darkness" and make it into a big budget movie. That would make an awesome summer smash. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

"We always knew you were a little bit poofy, Captain!" Great line! I did a double feature yesterday due to having free passes. I saw: Hancock The Mummy: Curse of the Dragon Emporer My opinion of both: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................ Last night with the Mrs.: Facing the Giants (I've now watched this 9 times and can quote huge chunks of it).

Oh man, that's not good news, I was really looking forward to "Hancock". Maybe I'll like it better. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| The first part of Hancock is kinda funny, but it becomes a more serious film about halfway through. So, if you're expecting a comedy, it's only half funny.

| Hancock - 7/10 good movie, but lacks something, somehow..... Maybe it was just the story line is a little lame? Will Smith is his usual good self though and makes the movie worth seeing. Kung Fu Panda - 7/10 another good movie, with Jack Black and lots of other stars. (British guy is the bad guy yet again!) For me there wasn't enough humour in it though. Forbidden Kingdom - 6.5/10 Not a bad movie. The story line is okay, and the action sequences are up to standard. It was worth going to see just to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan having a fight together! The Dark Knight - 7/10. For me it didn't live up to the hype. Yes, it's good and there are some great set pieces, but it was a bit too dark for me. All the acting was great (although sometimes Christian Bale mumbled a bit) and Heath Ledger did a fine job as the joker. Not sure if it's worthy of an oscar, as the joker didn't seem to be as unhinged as he could have been - but that's just a script issue. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Isn't that just entertainment echoing reality? (just kidding Fundy, now put down that cricket bat, and give me a hug instead). I took the whole family to the $2 movie theater and we watched Prince Caspian. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Last night we watched "Flywheel"I know it is a low budget film, but I thought it was fantastic anyway. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Possibly We tried to see Prince Caspian a couple of weeks ago, but it was only on in a matinee performance, and you needed to take a kid with you!!!!! Recently I've watched on DVD....... Robots 9/10 - My favourite animation movie. Most people thought it was average, or barely good, but I love all of it from start to finish. The cross city express, the lines from Robin Williams, the idea behind it all, the story line - everything! Dodgeball 5/10 - Still going through this slowly (it's on loan from a friend). It's okay, but I just can't seem to get in to it. I'm probably 20 minutes in so far and I keep finding something else to watch. It's A Wonderful Life 7/10 - Man, I thought this was going to be an awesome film. There have been so many great reviews of it - and I really like the idea of it, but it just doesn't work as well as it could have. James Stewart just seems a bit too normal for a 'great' film, and he's also a bit loud too! Have to say that he was a great actor though, and I loved him in most of the films he's done, but this one he just came across rather in your face. I kept feeling sorry for his wife and kids! I'm glad I saw it - I just thought it would be better! Stardust 9/10 - First time I saw it I thought it was great, second time I saw it I liked it even more. It's a bit dark for small kids, and the storyline is a bit simple (see that star? Go and fetch it), but the feel of the film is great, and I've enjoyed it more each time I've seen it (3 times so far) The fundy scoring system 0 = coaster material 1 = dead 2 = pathetic 3 = Plain dull 4 = Mostly bad 5 = watchable 6 = good 7 = very good 8 = great 9 = awesome 10 = The select few!!! (LOTRx3, Duck Soup, Oh Mr Porter, Animal Crackers, Empire Strikes Back) _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| I'm probably one of the few people who didn't think that Robots was all that great. I would only give it a 6 on the Fundy scale. I would completely agree with you on Dodgeball and Stardust. I probably would have been a litte nicer to It's a Wonderful Life and given it an 8 (or maybe only 7.5). But I gotta agree that I don't think it was nearly as good as most people make it out to be. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
