| I have vinyl Star Trek stickers on the rear window of my truck. So, today a car passed me on the freeway (we still call it the Interstate here, but I will use the other word so ya'll don't get lost in southern vernacular) and Vulcan saluted me when they eased back into the lane in front of me. I saluted back, and they waved as they continued on their way.
That made this Star Trek geek very happy! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Today is a sad day. We've had another mass shooting. This time it was in rural Mississippi. The gunman killed 8 people--7 of who were relatives and one police officer. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I think life is overwhelming more and more of us these days...
"Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking toward those things which are coming on the earth"
But we always know in our hearts that we have a hope:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me"
And should always pray when overwhelmed, noting the example of Jesus:
"He took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be deeply troubled and distressed. And He told them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch.” Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed..."

| I went to the 13th Annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival in Huntsville, AL this weekend. It was good to meet some other builders I have met through Facebook. The event itself sucked, though. There was ONE vendor there selling guitars. ONE! While I can appreciate them letting the guy on stage, they let an unscheduled special needs man bang on a guitar (he couldn't play) for nearly an hour. They lost a lot of their crowd during that. Then, where they had skipped on artist, they were going to have to rush everyone to either stay on schedule or everyone stay late. I finally got fed up with it and came home early.
The main organizer is going to have to do better next year or they won't be having a festival in Huntsville. That would be sad as this is the first and longest running cigar box guitar festival in the world.

| Took my son out yesterday to get him some football cleats, and while we were at it I bought him a new football. We were going to meet my wife for lunch (she was at work) and we had a few minutes to kill so we went to the local park and tossed his football back and forth for about 15-20 minutes. I woke up this morning with the shoulder on my right arm more than a little sore....man getting old stinks. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| My roommate and I were looking to get rid of a couch we inherited from the previous renter. It's a recliner, but one of the footrests is crooked and the other has fallen off. We were debating throwing it off the balcony and leaving it for big garbage pickup, or getting a friend with a van to bring it to the recycling centre in town. The landlord ended up dropping by yesterday to fix the gutters above our balcony (and removed the pigeon nest that was there in the process), so I asked him what I could do with a couch. He told me to bring it down to beside the dumpster and he'd take care of it. My roommate and I have been fixing to get rid of it, so we were going to get rid of it that day, but we were too busy cleaning up the rest of the room to take care of it.
Come evening, we were talking with some friends from church who live down the hall from us. (There is a surprisingly large amount of Christians in our apartment block.) They'd moved there from Tennessee, and were fixing to buy a couch, but ran out of money due to unexpected expenditures, so they were couchless. CLICK! All of a sudden I was thankful that we hadn't thrown it away that day. It is now in their apartment, and out of ours. I am very happy.
Thank you for reading the saga of our couch.

If the Lord or if your job took you there, I could see that. But, except for the people on the eastern side of the state that sees a lot of wintery weather, I can't see moving anywhere with more snowfall than what I am used to. If we get 8 inches of snow for the entire winter, that's a blizzard to us and we're okay with that! I thank the Lord for my Canadian friends, but you can have the colder months up there. I'd love to visit during the late spring and summer months, though. I just can't envision moving from Tennessee to Canada. Of course, I really can't envision moving anywhere other than Tennessee. Well, maybe Florida near the beach. Anyplace that there aren't alligators in Florida would be good. Oh, there aren't any places without alligators, you say? Then I will stay in Tennessee.

We've been in a reimplantation, or transplantation, phase, where we moved from a location outside of downtown, to a neighbourhood with no evangelical church.

AHHHH! Kinda makes you want to vote a certain way just to see if the world really does end, doesn't it? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
