Watched the classic film "The Outsiders" this weekend. I hadn't seen it in forever, it is still a fantastic story even if the film is incredibly dated...the music is absolutely horrid.

Indeed. We really liked it.
I've been watching a lot of Bob Larson videos on demons/spiritual warfare.

Great movie! I loved this one. The acting was great, and it is always cool to see a true story that took place in your home state. The places they shot this film are all in Tennessee where the real Papa Joe is to this day.

The Towering Inferno(1974)
Great movie,it had been a long time since I last saw it. The one thing about the movie I could have done without was some of the language. I didn't think they talked that way in 1974. I almost thought it was an 80's movie.

Watched The Secret Life of Pets. It had it's moments but was rather dull.
Started to watch Nacho Libre again. While we laughed the first time we watched it and look back at lines and scenes with a certain fondness, we shut it off as it didn't hold any fascination this time around.
Maybe we'll watch Braveheart tomorrow.

I avoided that one on purpose, it seemed like I was saturated with previews from it on every electronic media outlet available for about a year before it ever came out. By the time it was released I was already sick of it. I'm guessing I will probably never watch it.

The wife forced me to watch the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" I had no desire to watch it, but I will have to say it was pretty good (for what it is). I was afraid they would make teenage suicide look glamorous...but they didn't. Some of he language was pretty bad (but probably realistic), and some of it was really hard to watch at times.

127 Hours The crazy (but apparently true) story of a mountain climber who got trapped in a narrow canyon and had to do something extreme in an effort to save himself.

I wouldn't go with better, but I will go with equal. I thought it was just as good as the first. There were still a lot of over the top action scenes, much humor throughout, and a lot of character development. They loosely reconnect this movie with the rest of the Marvel universe by reminding us that Thanos is the father of the two girls focused on in both films and that the Infinity stones are something he is after. No, there are no other character tie-ins of more established characters.

Last night, we watched:
Kubo & The Two Strings
It was okay. I wouldn't choose to sit through it again. I did like, however, that you could have a cartoon where the characters don't break out into song and dance routines instead of writing more dialog.

We loved it! We went to the theater and saw it and then bought the Blu-Ray.

It had more (unnecessary) crude humor I thought. I definitely preferred the first but 2 was OK.
Also watched Hacksaw Ridge.

Wow, I hadn't even thought about that show in over a decade. I probably only caught a handful of episodes but I remember it having some rather decent family values. Also seemed like a role tailor made for Gerald McRaney

I only watched a few episodes back in the day. It's on Hulu so we started watching from the beginning. It's a pretty funny show.

I LOVED Major Dad back in the day. It had some silly parts especially after the cast moves to Virginia on the show. But, it had some excellent family values. Hollywood doesn't give a care about that kind of show anymore. Everything has to be all about sex no matter what the storyline is. I have Netflix and Hulu, but I am glad that I finally ditched having cable or satellite.
