Never seen someone use a fish as a replacement for vulgarity. It's quite funny.

| My mother-in-law flies in tonight for a 2 week visit. (I'm pretty sure she is coming by plane and not flying in on her broom). She will be staying with us in our house, and as much as I lover her I am always more than a little relieved when she leaves. I have to confess that I am a little bitter that she never stays with her other daughter. But I don't blame her, because my sister-in-law lives in a dump of a single-wide mobile home that doesn't smell the best...and is in a less than desirable part of town. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | I've just realised how little I post in CHM, and when I do it's only a line or two. Even though I read it almost every day (and on many days twice) I don't seem to post much at all!
I hope the mother-in-law visit goes well for you Staybrite. My in-laws only live a 15 minute drive away, so they never actually stay for any longer than 1/2 a day. My in-laws are great, but I guess 2 weeks is a long time. I'm glad you love her Staybrite, it's good to have good in-laws. _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

I'm with you, Fundy. I read more than I post, too.

Quit being so lazy and just post more! - Fundy wrote:

It was great when she lived here in the same state (only about 30 minutes away). We would see her every few weeks for a few hours at a time....same with my parents. - Xid wrote:

I don't really have any "issues" with her, she is a great gal and I love her....but after about 4 days living in the same house with her she just kind of gets on my nerves a bit. But she is a nice lady...just some of her quirks grate on me after a few days. What's funny is I think the same think happens to my wife (with her own mother...not mine). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| We live about an hour from my wife's folks - which is nice. We go down there about once a month and visit for the whole day. We went down Saturday for Mother's Day - got there about 12:30 and left about 9. We probably won't go down there again until June sometime.
My parents live about 5 minutes away, which is nice when we need a night alone or some after school care.
I'm pretty fortunate that I get along with my wife's parents. I know some guys who don't and I feel pretty bad for them.

That's exactly the way it used to be when my parents lived here. They were about an hour away, and we would drive over there about once a month and spend most of the day with them. It was great. We got to see them quite often but didn't have to spend so much time with them that we got on each others nerves. Now they live in Texas and it seems like a few years pass between seeing them. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Man, I've got a lot of practicing to do! I've got a gig with the Tim Davis Band on the 21st, and then I've got to get enough songs to play about a 45 minute set at the 12th annual Huntsville Cigar Box Guitar festival the first weekend of June. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

If your life goes like mine, my wife did almost an entire week of traveling for work and then a women's retreat. I ended up with not even a single night for myself. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Well I do have to work two of those days (of which today was one).....so I likely won't get a ton of time to myself. But I am sure I will think of something to keep me busy that doesn't involve chores around the house. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

During that week my son usually stays with my parents at least one night. Every year she's gone, I've made big plans for that night. "I'm gonna watch all three original Star Wars movies and order pizza!" or "I'm gonna watch a whole season of (some TV show) on Netflix and eat whatever I want!" Every year, I've watched one movie and was in bed by 10 PM.

| My wife informed me a couple of days ago she plans to go back to Washington state for a couple of weeks to visit relatives, and she will likely do it in June while our still-at-home daughter is on her Mexico mission trip. That's TWO WEEKS on my own! Woo hoo! | |
