99% of us suck when we're learning a new instrument. Keep at it. You can only get better!
Quite a few of us still stink at it over two decades later. But it's not about how good you become, but how much you enjoy playing the instrument.

Oh Gary, that's not good news. I'm praying for your daughter and her baby. Will you keep us posted about this situation?

The hospital kept her overnight to monitor the baby and hopefully stop her contractions. We called her this morning and the doctor said she is doing well and they are going to send her home (no baby yet, which is good news). The fun part was that Mrs Staybrite and I got to bring our grandson (Boston) home with us to spend the night. He is 14 months old and this is his first sleep-over. He did really good. I met him at the crib when he woke up this morning and he was a little confused that he wasn't in his own bedroom, but in no time he was ready to play and have some breakfast.

Nick Feldman, who is half of the duo Wang Chung, once said: "Wang Chung is the feeling, not the word. It represents an abstract, an escape from pragmatic, complex ideas. Wang Chung means whatever you want it to mean. Have fun with it. That's the whole idea of the line 'Everybody Wang Chung Tonight.' It can mean a tribal dance, a Viennese waltz, a party in New York, or whatever."

So is building an instrument. I have a few I am trying to move forward. It is a slow go, but we are going!

The handbrake is very useful at this time of year. It makes parking and turning easier and safer, if you catch my drift…

We had terrible wind today. It was rainy last night and cold this morning, so the parking lot froze over. I can't count how many times I actually fell, let alone nearly fell. Câline.

Some snow. Just a little. I dont think it's anything significant. It's definitely cold and windy out.
I'm mentally tired.

Someone recently gave a car to our school, to be used as a local runabout. The more I drive it, the more I realize the guy wanted to get rid of it before the clutch/transmission/fan belt/electricals/slowly-leaking tire give out. Still, it's working for the time being, so we can't really complain, but I'm not expecting it to last long. Perhaps God in His grace will sustain it, as it were. It's also a cheap car to begin with, so it's not really enjoyable. But hey, it was right when we needed it, as our other vehicles started having crippling issues just after we got it. His love was right on time.

The wind was fierce earlier today. I felt like it was gonna blow me away. It already blew me into the grass while I was walking on the sidewalk.
