Time to unfollow Mr. Timothy Gaines on Facebook. All he does is post pictures of all his expensive toys. Seems a bit materialistic to me. Not judging or criticizing; heaven knows I'm no angel. I'm just not interested in watching him show us "have nots" what the "haves" have.

There was some snow today. It's also not too cold or windy outside. ^^

I'm sure this kid will learn about Jesus from us.

Haven't been on here in about a week. I was down in the States this weekend… well, barely. I was in Schroon Lake, NY, at the Word of Life main campus. It was fun.

I feel kind of dangerous in a way. I'm the kind of person who's very goofy and silly and laughs very easily. A lot of times, I'm like a happy little child. There are other times when I'm feeling really down. Other people don't see it very often. Of course, there are times when I'm in between, but there's a lot of one or the other.

Welcome to the world of internet recluses.  If all of us were honest, I bet we all feel that way.



Today, I am trying my hand at making chili.  I know how to open a can of chili, but I have never attempted to make it from scratch.

Ooh we should talk chili!  I've made chili in my crockpot a few times and it's turned out pretty excellent if I may say so myself!

If it DOESN'T have beans in it, then it is not chili.  Ok, maybe if you use kidney beans, it doesn't count.  If you use chili beans, then it is real chili.  Anything less is imitation.  You might as well be eating that nasty Vietti in a can that is chili flavored soup.

I made chili once. Used crushed and diced tomato, beans, corn, ground beef, onions, garlic, and lots of different spices. It was decent, but I'd rather make spaghetti sauce anyway.

Is is snowing!  OK, for some of our more northern members, this isn't a big deal.  Most of our snow the last several years has been just mere dustings.  We got 6 inches of ices last winter and the rest was rather humdrum.

I miss when it used to snow when I was a kid.  We missed the entire month of January back when I was a freshman.  We just don't have the abilities to deal with snow and ice down here.  Anyway, we've got a couple of inches on the ground and they are saying we may get up to 8 today.  Awesome!

I remember that year!! I was in 8th grade!! We lived in Knoxville and I think we went back for one or two days after Christmas then had the whole month of January off because of snow. The entire state of Tennessee was hit hard that year. In fact, we were out of school so long we started having to go to Saturday school. I sure miss snow and my kids desperately want it. We tell them they ain't getting it, at least not here. They did see some last year when we drove to Ralphie's house and they enjoyed every minute of it. My son called from Knoxville the other night and said they already had 3 or 4 inches and would probably get more before the night was over. 

I really like where we live but if I could change one thing, it would be to get a least one good snow storm a year.

We are somewhere around 5 inches of snow now and 3 more possibly coming today.

Love it!! (Your snow that is!)

 53 right now here in PC (was 65 at 3AM this morning when I got up). The rain moved out and the temps dropped. Low 34 tonight so it is going to be cold tonight, at least for here. But every time it gets close to freezing the skies are clear. Then when the clouds move it, the temps raise to around 40 and it is just a cold rain.
