The first Hot Metal Summer release from 1988 had an interview with Shout.

Normally my memory is pretty good with this kind of thing. More than likely I had this on cassette:
And I remember it being my first exposure to Shout. Then later on I must've bought another one on CD that had the interview with Roger. I seem to remember him talking about Slayer a bit on it and how it was all cool "and what not". I wasn't a fan of VR then so I didn't pay much attention to it but I just remember the interview part.

Now if I could only FIND it and listen to it to make sure it is what I thought I had! I know I had another compilation disc in a slim jewel case and I have searched everything from Frontline and Intense on discogs and haven't been able to find out what that CD was. But if I had something with interviews from Ken and Roger it had to be Hot Metal Summer II because there is just nothing else that fits the description more than that.

Here is the interview, and this was definitely it. I had the band mixed up tho, he was talking about Metallica not Slayer. And near the end he does say "what have you" lol. And I am not sure who that is with the southern drawl but I think it is Doug Thieme.
