| Was digging in the 80's metal page on CD Baby and found some bands. Like Eternal Ryte, Regime. Listening to Eternal Ryte " Anthology" I wondered if this an other CD of Eternal Ryte? I know they have "World Requim" Is this the same band? At CD Baby the description for the style of Eternal Ryte is classic christian glam metal? Now I wonder are there more classic christian glam metal band? I think classic glam metal sounds great. Some songs reminds me to Stryper.
Regime with Rick Martinez. Rick played in the Californian band Soldier. Is Rick a brother of roger Martinez? Regime released "Strait Through Your Heart" is that their only CD?

I know they have "World Requim" Is this the same band? Not only is that the same band, it is also the same album. "Anthology" is a 2 cd release of the "World Requiem" album and several unreleased demos. Most of the demos are on the "World Requiem" disc. With me having the original release of "World Requiem", I did not think that the demos were worth buying this again. - Quote :

Regime with Rick Martinez. Rick played in the Californian band Soldier. Is Rick a brother of roger Martinez? Regime released "Strait Through Your Heart" is that their only CD? Rick and Roger are no relation to one another. This was the only release that Regime ever did. The original was just a demo tape recorded on 4 tracks. For the cd, Rick went in and added more guitar tracks to beef up the sound. A couple of the songs were also done by Soldier. If you liked Soldier, this is a decent listen. I have it because I had the demo tape years ago. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| You'd probably like Eternal Ryte. If you have never heard them, then this new "Anthology" is definitely a good way to learn more. I think you'd like Regime, too. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I owned "World Requiem" for a while and could never really get into it. Something just seemed to be missing. I ended up trading it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| The vocalist is what held them back. The talent with the band was there, Staybrite, but the vocalist is almost a monotone.

I like Electrik. Never cared for Poison a whole lot though.

| I loved Poison back in the day. Electrik was supposed to be reminiscent of them. But, there was a lot more acoustic guitars being used on the Electrik disc and the guitar solos were few and far between. It just wasn't what it was hyped up to be.
So, I gladly shipped it out on Lala. Staybrite was the recipient. I'm glad that he is looking for a home for this instead of me.

| Electrik were okay, but not brilliant. I bought the album when it first was rereleased and was pleasantly surprised about how good it was. But since then I've hardly listened to it at all. Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

Ain't that the truth! I could never understand why everyone raves about this band. Their vocalist was terrible!

I agree the lack of hooks was probably the death toll for my Eletrik disc (or should I say Alldat's old Electrik disc). They were also a little too flowery/sappy I thought. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Now I assume Eternal Ryte sounds not cool? Let me see if I can figure out why Elektrik is a CD you'd love to trade. Or ... is 80's metal not cool anymore? | |

Let me see if I can figure out why Elektrik is a CD you'd love to trade. Or ... is 80's metal not cool anymore? I think you might actually like Eternal Ryte (quite a few people do). Spend some time listening to the samples and CDBaby, and if they sound good to you, then you will probably like the album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Ohhhh yeah I know my music taste is bad. No not bad, just different from mine. What a terribly boring world it would be if we all liked exactly the same things (especially music). We would never see or hear (or taste) anything different, because people would just keep making the exact same music/movies/food etc. over and over again. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Cool Nick you like Eternal Ryte too. I am sure Nick likes lots of other bands too, so do I. Staybrite you are the "lucky owner" of the Electrik CD. When you don't like it you can use it as a frisbee to see if this CD can fly.

| In mine too Nick. Glad to hear you like Eternal Ryte too.
I think more and more I am an exception here. Don't have to tell so much about bands last week. You all have to know that I am still interested in CHM.
Have the feeling if my posts here are not good or interesting to read anymore. Or I think is here anyone interested to read what I think about music and bands? Is if I like a band or not so important to read for the others here? Don't know so much about all the Christian bands as most of you here. Your knowledge is so much better than mine. But I always listen to the links given here how it sounds. Maybe my words to describe my thoughts are not always good or show what I mean. I love to learn more about Christian hard music and other styles in the Christian music.
