| I thought I'd order the new August/September Issue #70 issue of Heavens Metal mag as it has an interview with Guy Ritter in it. $2.95 seems pretty good to me, all I need to do is add postage on top. Unfortunately UPS and Fed Ex charge $50 to send it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully the interview will be posted on line by HM! Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... | Yeah, that seems way too high, but why aren't you using the USPS??? I know that would be cheaper even with the huge price increase this year. I looked it up and it would be $11 for a Priority MailĀ® Flat Rate Envelope.
I didn't know rates went up so much. It used to cost $5 to mail CDs to England, Holland, etc. Now it would cost me $11 to send some to Yvonne the way I was (Priority flat rate envelope). Yikes! They now offer a first class option that is $3.60 for 4 ounces but goes over $11 if you're over 19 ounces. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| The cheapest from UPS is $63! HM only send out stuff using Fed Ex or UPS, which is a bit of a pain. I was just a bit shocked at the cost. I thought maybe $10 or so, but never $50 +!! Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| I get Heaven's Metal, but I don't have that issue yet (maybe it's at home in my mailbox). If you have problems getting a copy (don't pay $50). Let me know, I can scan it and e-mail it to you. Seeing as how the whole thing is in b&w I am kinda surprised they don't just have an e-mail subscription option. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I was subscribing to Heaven's Metal, but let my subscription run out. Most of the news in it I was learning either on my own or from people on the forums. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

I used to collect them back in the day when they were regular magazines in full color If you follow much of any of the Christian Music internet boards/news sites, then the "news" and upcoming releases sections would be of little use to you. But I like the articles/interviews, and some of the non-music articles are pretty interesting (like Steve Rowe's recular "Throwing Down the Gauntlet" column). It is a rather low budget production. Just black and white (usually, sometimes the covers are in color). Just printed on a heavier bond copy paper (no glossy). But I still think it is worth what little I pay for it. BTW the Guy Ritter interview is not even complete in the fanzine, the complete article is supposed to be availible at http://www.hmmag.com/heavensmetal/ but it looks like it isn't up yet. -- _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | Okay, thanks for that Staybrite. I'll wait a while to see if it gets uploaded. I've had a look at the HM site and the postage costs haven't been changed at present, they're still astronomical (or worse!) Fundy _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness
