| Nope, Southern Cali here. But I've been up North many times.
Depends on where North you're talking about. My daughter lives in San Jose, near San Francisco - that's the coast, so there's a lot of overcast mornings and the winters are colder than good old SoCal. Very populated and busy there in the Silicon Valley where all the computer tech you use is born. I've been to Lake Tahoe - Beautiful ! Trees, wildlife - you'd swear you were in Utah / Colorado. Lots of fishing, resorts and casinos within driving distance.
LOTS to see all over N Cali, but I wouldn't leave S Cali for nothing ! | |

| I haven't been there in years, but my in-laws lived in Redding for a while. It was dry, but still beautiful....and considerably more expensive than what I remember of Texas. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| the cost is the issue...in texas we don't have any state income tax, and no tax on food or medication. We live in a 2000 sq. foot 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment with washer and dryer, covered parking, a dog park, a weight room, a workout center and a pool in an upper middle class area for around a 1000 a month. Thats not bad and I am sure we couldn't get a 1 bedroom in cali for that in the same type of area. |

| I don't think you could get that deal in Cali even if you lived in the ghetto. |

| Ohhh, you're talking cost of living ? Forget it. From what I've heard from many out of staters, Cali is the most expensive state all around. That, and the crime are the only bummers about an otherwise great state. | |
