What are you watching?

Just saw The Hobbit : The Desolation of Smaug today.

Since the begin of this week I've seen:
Annie, The Sound Of Music, Nannie Mcphee.

The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug. Epic movie, like all of the LOTR/Hobbit movies. I liked the fight scene about an hour in.

What did you think of The Lone Ranger?  We went to the theaters to see it.  Apparently, it lost between $16-190 million dollars making it the worst flop of the year.  My wife and I and my mother-in-law loved it.  Sure, it wasn't the same as the old TV shows and classic movies, but it was so much fun.  I even liked the way that the main character was anything but a screw up to start with.  When the time came for him to kick butt, though, he rose to the occasion.  I just hate it that Disney has pulled the plug on the franchise and this is all we will get.  They are focusing more on their Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar divisions for now as that is where the money is.


Saturday, we watched The Man Of Steel.

I thought the Lone Ranger was pretty darn good myself. Not sure why it didn't do better in the theater, might just be the public isn't into westerns right now.

I still haven't seen Lone Ranger yet. I have it saved in my Netflix queue. When They finally release it I will be seeing it. Or I might have to go ahead and go to a Redbox.

It's available in stores now.  I got the DVD for Christmas.  I don't think that Redbox has it yet, however.

Usually I won't buy the movie unless I really like it. For that I will rent it first,if I didn't see it in the theater.

We have a Redbox at my store and I think recall seeing it listed.

Just finished Band of Brothers.

I saw Anchorman 2 over the weekend.  Meh, it was ok.  It had some laughs though nowhere near the level of humor as the first IMO.

Yeah it's basically about a guy that's a zombie who falls in love with non-zombie girl during the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse.  His name is R and hers is Julie as in Romeo and Juliet.  It's a fun movie; I'd recommend it.
