I see tickets are on sale here and I would go ahead and buy them but it is only in 3D. What?!? Is there going to be a 2D version? My youngest will prob struggle to sit thru it and she isn't in to 3D movies.

I cannot watch 3D movies, they give me a headache and I can't stand wearing the glasses over my real glasses.

I know it will be only in 3D at Imax theaters but will also be in 2D at regular cinemas. At least that is what it will be around here.

I'll do 2D as well. While I can watch 3D, my wife cannot. She gets so nauseated that she starts throwing up.

I'm seeing it in 2D, and somehow managed to get seats right in the middle of the cinema, and after half of the tickets had already been sold! Really excited about it!

You have assigned seating in a theater? I've always just grabbed whatever seats were empty. Is that normal for theaters in the UK, or is this just because this is a popular film that is already selling out shows?

I've watched all the ComicCon events with the cast as well as anything else I can find on youtube about Episode 7... getting very excited ! But like Staybrite I will probably wait a few weeks after it's released so I don't get trampled like a Who fan in '79. I too dislike 3d and will never watch another 3d ever again. Last 2 I went to gave me the worse migraines ever ! Personally I think 3d is just a silly gimmick - great for a Universal Studios 15 minute experience... but not for a 2+ hour movie.

About a year ago cineworld started letting folks choose where to sit. It's a great system as it takes away the panic of not getting a good seat. We're in row E, which for the screen is one of the perfect rows (being E F or G) and right in the middle of the row too!
3D is just annoying, I went to see probably my favourite movie of the last 10 years (Edge Of Tomorrow) and whilst it was a superb movie I found the 3D really off putting. Everything is better in 2D!!!!

I feel exactly the same, but everyone else in my family seems to love it.

My wife doesn't care much for 3d either. She says she can take it or leave it.

I enjoy 3D (except for the premium price) even though I wear glasses. It does seem more realistic if they do a good job. I'll usually see 2D though to save money.

Heck, the matinee cost three times that now (at least around these parts)

Which is why we don't go to many movies in the theater. I think the last movie I saw in the theater was The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Actually, I think it was God's Not Dead.

I felt really bad for my youngest son earlier this month when his friend invited him to see "The Scorch Trials" and then ditched him (he waited for him to call him for 5 hours and the little snot never called him back). So I talked the wife into taking him to an impromptu matinee of the show. Three matinee tickets a bucket of popcorn, two sodas and box of candy later I was out well over $50. It was worth it though he was really happy about seeing the movie....but it certainly isn't something I want to do on a regular basis.

We often skip the snacks there and use free passes from giving platelets so the times we do go to the movies are usually no cost.
Oddly, my son apparently had no interest in the Scorch Trials for some reason.

I have this same shirt! I've had it for nearly two years!

I've been reading some of the theories about the new Star Wars that insists that Luke will be the villian when all is said and done. What do you think? I hate that they'd do that, but I also found out that Mark Hamill wanted and even BEGGED Lucas to take the character that direction at the end.
