We took the train to a big city and made a boat trip through the canals. Saw a lot of this big city and walked and walked. It's good to spend time with the family. I hope my Canadian has improved. Your family is in BC, right? That sounds cool. Which way does their plane go, east or west?

Is this a common saying there ?

| I started to practice "Monster" of Skillet for guitar lessons. The student who has a lesson after me listened to this song too. I think that's cool and shows Christian rock is cool. | |

| So we get to wondering why my son hasn't dropped by the house to pick up his phone charger and gift card we got him for watching our dogs.... he texts us back that he's in Missouri !! FIVE STATES AWAY !! Come to find out, he's "in love". He's gaga over this gal he knew from 8th grade (here in California) who's now at a University in Missouri. He drove NON-STOP from Cali to Missouri to spend his vacation with her !! And didn't tell anyone !!!!!!!! Oy Veh ! When I was 18, I wouldn't have driven more than 2 hours away. I guess we raised him to be independent.... just didn't realize what a good job of it we did !

| Yep, looks like he's making plans to pack up and move several states away, cuz, as he says "a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"
Sheesh. I guess it's no difference from the crazy decisions I made when I was a kid... I survived to learn lessons from them, some good some bad, so I guess he's got his own life and will experience it in his own way.

| It does make it hard to be a parent sometimes. My young adult daughter has me doing some serious cringing sometimes. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I try to think back to when I was at that age... but it seems so long ago. All I can remember was, in hindsight, I was an idiot who thought I knew so much....
Again, I survived (barely) and avoided permanent life-altering mistakes, so I guess there's still hope... I just know my wife is gonna be heartbroken over her "baby" moving so far away.
At least with my daughter, she's within driving distance (8 hours) so it feels a little better to know we can pack up and visit them in 1 day. But 3 states away is gonna be a bummer for my wife (and me, should she ever decide to go visit him)
We all want what's best for our kids, but we don't have control over that... so we have to make the best of it.

6 months. But seriously it would not shock me at all to see something like that in my lifetime. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
