| I might get out in a few minutes and go geocaching around Vanderbilt University. There are 4 virtual caches right here on the hospital campus. So, I might go for a little walkabout in a little while. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I took a little break away from the hospital today to go find 4 virtual caches on the Vanderbilt campus today. Virtuals aren't hard to find, but they do give you a sense of art or history sometimes. Both, in this case!

| It's cool to take a break from the hospital. Hours of waiting and sitting is not cool. A virtual cache, that's interesting. Is a virtual cache similair to an earth cache? I like to find all type caches there are. In Switzerland was a cache you had to swim to find the cache. | |

| An unknown cache can be an unusual container made to trick the mind. It still has a container, though.
A virtual cache has no container. It is usually a historic marker of some form where you have to visit the marker and get answers to questions from them. But, the answers will be there. You then have to email the answers to the cache owner after you log it as found. Sometimes, the cache owner will accept you posting a photo with you at the location. However, you should try to get all the answers and play by the rules.
Virtuals were discontinued in 2003. However, they are coming back sometime soon with new rules. I have 2 places already in mind if they do allow them to come back. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I know of one virtual in France, made in a Canadian war cemetery. I won't need a GPS for that virtual, since I know where the cemetery is and I can just copy the instructions down onto something. I also know of a traditional cache on a beach walkway; I know approximately where it is so I'll try hunt it down without the GPS.
A couple of years ago, I went to that cemetery, and on the center monument was a wreath from a school in my hometown! Needless to say I was surprised!
I'm still stuck at 40 caches so far. I need to get out there, weather permitting.

| With kids camps, my sister in the hospital, etc., I just haven't had much time for caching. I hope to get out more after next week.
With the 4 virtuals, that takes me up to 1215.

| Yesterday we found a new serie of 9 caches and one bonus cache around creeks. We have found all 9 caches and have to go back to find the bonus cache. We did an other cache very close to one of the creek caches. We have found 10 caches yesterday. That makes we have 149 founds now. | |

Also got a notification earlier that one of my trackables was dropped off in Puerto Rico. I have a trackable in Okinawa, Japan and one that is bouncing around Italy. I think those have done very well in traveling. I just wish I was as well traveled.

Well, I could have gone yesterday, but I chose instead to see the latest Transformers movie.

| Than there's not much time to go out to find so many geocaches that you have found 1600 caches.
I hope you have a job for the first school day.

| I did go for a few hours yesterday and was able to grab 6. One of them took about an hour counting the hike in/out and about 20 minutes of search time. I was exhausted after that one.
I also went and grabbed one today near my home that is in a small cave. The cave was cool, but the container was crap.

| Some caches are hard to find. you search and search for a long time and have no idea where to search. But then you found the cache. We have had caches like this too.
Some containers really are crap. We found one flooting in a tree.

| I don't understand what you mean by "traditionals". Most everything I found yesterday were micros. However, two were regular caches, but the containers were small.
One of the micros I found yesterday. It was a snail shell with a container inside of it. Talk about tricky! But, I got lucky and found it in just a couple of minutes.
