We have found all the 31 caches and the bonus cache.
And we were able to log an extra cache.

This powertrail was great and it was so much fun to search all those caches.
They were hidden not far from each other and the places to hid were original.
Some were a bit more difficult to find, others were easy to find.

Yes we really enjoyed to do this wonderful powertrail.
I see more now with the eyes of a geocacher.
This powertrail was great, to bad tomorrow will be the last day.
Now I have to log 33 caches.

Good job, Vonnie. There are no powertrails around here.

That's one of the things I do like about my Delorme unit. It will do part of the logging for you. I can upload field notes from the machine and then write my actual logs online when I feel like it. It makes logging my finds so much faster this way.

That's great your Delorme will do a part of the logging for you.
Each cache I have found has to be logged to go to the geocaching website and log it when we are at home.
This Garmin can't do the logging for me.
On this way you can log your found caches immediately.

But my most founds on one day is really improved now, 32 found.
That's not bad isn't it?

That is awesome! It took me a LONG time before I had a day with that many finds. Now, my personal best day is 65 caches. You will get there, too!

I managed to grab a couple today with sabidoo and his girlfriend daydreamermom. Both of the caches were in a park with a lot of bike trails. They were muddy, and we had to walk a LOT. We walked so much that it took us over an hour between the first and 2nd cache. We had a lot of steep climbing to do on the 2nd one.

Then, we went bowling together. My wifey joined us, and I managed to kick sabidoo's butt. That made the whole day worth living!

Today we are visiting friends.
The GPS is loaded with geocaches near the highyway.
Hope we can grab some today.

That would be the best way to know where they are.

Perhaps, but because I can't exactly get coordinates, and because the website can't determine my location (long story, which has to do with our Internet service provider) I'm stuck with the Intro app for iPhone. As soon as I can get money on my iTunes account, I'll buy the "full" app.

I went to an event cache today with about 60 other cachers today. We ate desserts and tie dyed shirts, too. It was a lot of fun.

I have thought to visit a geocache event in the neighborhood too.

The pic of you both is great.
You are a great team one has right and have found the cache.
The other is directing in the right way. lol! geek
Is that teamspirit or not?

We were both just acting silly. You can't see it, but I stuck my tongue out at Darren when this pic was made. We both busted up laughing just as soon as we thought the shot was done.

Actually, I am going to another event cache on May 28. They are doing a huge geocaching display at Nashville's Adventure Science Center. They will be talking about all the science of geocaching, have an indoor maze to go through, etc. The Middle Tennessee Geocachers Club will be meeting at 9 AM before the Science Center opens. That will count as an event cache. Then, if you are a real cacher, you can sign the log inside the science museum and get credit for another event cache. So, you can get 2 finds and only stop once. I think this will be a lot of fun!

I like it to meet other geocachers and an event is the place to meet people with the same hobby as you have.
So when there's an event in the neighborhood I think I'll visit that event too.
One of the geocachers we have met Friday has told that at one event where so many TBs that he was writing for many hours.
I really like it to find TBs.

Now I'm learning what you can do when you are a premium member.

What? You ate tie-dyed shirts?! Now I know I don't wanna have anything to do with this geocashing thingy.

Read the rules on www.geocaching.com.

Keep in mind that you SHOULD have found at least 100 before you start hiding AND you will need a real GPSr, instead of some iPhone, to get accurate hide coordinates.

sabidoo wasn't kidding about getting a real GPSr instead of using the iPhone. On caches where I know that the person hiding was using the iPhone, the coordinates are anywhere from 20 to 35 feet off. When you are hiding something in the woods, that kind of distance is huge. You need something more accurate than the phone.
