I agree with the assessment of "Walkin' In Faith" a couple posts back. Great album! It was the first Angelica album I bought. I think that Jerome is a cool singer, but my one complaint about that album has always been that the lyrics are not enunciated very well, and it's hard to make out parts of it as a result. But beyond that, great album.


Anyone ever into Holy Saint? There's a band that never went very far, but I thought their music, though not well produced, was very cool and catchy... and a VERY STRONG upfront message in every song.

Led Foot - Great band when everyone was going grunge they were metal. Would have been great to hear a follo-up from them.

Omega Highway - Another band that slipped under the radar. Although production values were a bit raw and a lot more work could have been done on the album I do think they had a great passion and pretty solid lyrics throughout all their songs.

Dreamquest - An independant band that has so far released 2 albums. The first one was utterly brilliant and almost made my album of the year. Their followup wasn't as good (I didn't buy it in the end) but their fast (not speed) metal was solid and fun, and the vocalist seemed to gel really well with the music. People did complain about the vocalist but I reckoned he was perfect for the band. Dreamquest are still around but one of the band members is travelling the world so everything's on hold. But the quality of their first album really should have put them in the limelight. If they ever release a 3rd album then they should make it a full album (at least 10 songs, as their second album only had 5 or 6 songs) and they'll probably have a winner on their hands.

I've got Scarlet Red on cassette, and although it's okay, it's not really my thing. As for Ledfoot, I reckon the song you have, TT and Staybrite is RAT RACE on the HM magazine. That's when I first heard of them (along with Disciple, who had the song BIG BAD WOLF on the CD). That RAT RACE song made me go out and find the album, and whilst Unto The Church and Rat Race are the best songs, all the other tracks are pretty solid too.

Most amazing thing about Scarlet Red is................. their hair! What's going on there!!!!

I agree that it's rather weak in the production, but the CD I have was just a reissue of the demo tape the band did on their own. Retrospect Records did nothing in the remastering department that could have helped this out. The songs are really good, but it needed a little modernizing in the overall sound quality. Wish Retroactive had gotten their hands on this first!

Chris - so it was just the demo of Holy Saint that you had, not the full album? I used to have a copy (you know what I mean) of the full album. MUCH better quality than the demo. Still low budget, but much more listenable. I used to enjoy it. Kinda wish I still had that.

That's it. Unfortunately, I won it on E-Bay years after it had come out and never could find a Ledfoot cd.

The full album is what I have (it's got 8 or 9 songs), but it still sounds demo-ish.

Led Foot ... maybe I ever can listen how they sound?

I've only 4 songs of Holy Saint.
Someone has sent me those songs a long time ago.
