| Cool. I might actually buy the CD this time since it is a full length. I only bought MP3s of the EP. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I also bought the MP3s (with the single Look Into My Eyes) and burnt it to CD. Come to think of it, it's been more than a year and a half since it was released as an EP. I'm pretty sure there was no CD pressing of the EP either. Some of the songs are in Drop A, and the single is in Drop B. Weird eh? | |

| I hate to say it but I think I am pretty much done with any Bill insists on singing on. I just can't seem to stay interested in it.
Hoping he will put out another Titanic album soon. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| You're out of luck, Staybrite, as Bill told me that The Seventh Power is the only thing he plans to do from now on. | |

| I am having the same thoughts as Staybrite has. I've lots of CDs from Bill Menchen, but I'm getting bored to listen again to the same sound. It's releasing older songs again on a new album. I loved final axe and Titanic. | |

Bummer ....I would love to hear another Titanic album I think the last one was the best album he has recorded. I would also love to hear some more Menchen. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Bummer ....I would love to hear another Titanic album I think the last one was the best album he has recorded. I would also love to hear some more Menchen. Exactly this! Seventh Power is decent, but is rather dull compared to the Titanic or Menchen projects. Bill needs to focus on those. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Well, why don't the musicians amongst us suggest ideas? I personally think Bill could do some smoking lead work for MO1, for example. | |

| I asked him, actually. Since my project wasn't built on a click track, he refused without me taking the song I offered to him back to square one and redo it from the ground up. I just decided to leave it alone for the time being.

| How about the next album? He's using Drop A now, and it wouldn't be too difficult to tune your extra strings down a bit.
Just curious, why didn't you use a click track?

| Well, I did, but I drifted a little in some places. We were able to still get the music done and Darren was able to match it with his drum tracks. So, we just left the song as it was. I doubt most folks would notice the couple of places where we are off just a hair. I didn't until he tried to sync it up with a click on his equipment.
Bill's using Drop A for his stuff, but I would guess that if he were working with someone else that he would retune to fit the song. I will probably drop the whole guitar a full step for the next CD due to my voice getting lower by the year. If I were playing on the low B with that tuning, I would be in A.

The first chorus of Prodigal has a strange feeling to it, but the rest sound ok. Would that be one of those spots?

| That isn't the song I pitched to him. I didn't feel his playing style would fit that song. But, this isn't about me or my music. Let's discuss what Bill is doing.

| Right.
Did anyone get the re-release of The Seventh Power's self-titled? It sounds more like the newer Seventh Power albums now. Bill actually asked me to listen to the early mixes a little before release. I always thought the original was kinda rough-sounding.

| I didn't. I like that album, but I don't love it enough to rebuy it. If Bill had a different, more powerful singer, I think his Seventh Power stuff would be much more listenable. He is almost a monotone in his delivery.

| Did the remaster of the newest Menchen album really add anything? I am interested in that, but only if it truly sounds a lot different.

| The Menchen remaster doesn't sound all that different, but it just restricts the frequencies. J Powell sent me the AAC files.
I'll relay them on to you through Facebook, if that's OK with you.

| AAC is the format used by iTunes. It won't work in my older model Zune.

| That could be a problem. I'll convert them to MP3 if you like. What bitrate? (I have 256 in my iTunes.) | |

| 256 would be stellar.

| Was Menchen the project that released the album Red Rock? I loved that album. |

| Yeah, Red Rock is from Menchen, but it's kind of an unique album in a way. The follow-up, In The Light, has a Rev Seven meets Ken Redding feel. | |
