What is it you don't like about it? Is it the songs? The new vocalist?
The vocals definitely. But it’s more than that. Someone described it as Southern rock and that’s pretty accurate. I hate Southern rock. LOL

I like some of it. This has a southern rock feel to it, but it leans more to the rock/metal side. True southern rock should be a mix of rock and country like with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gov't. Mule, The Allman Bros., Molly Hatchet, or the Black Crowes. Today, I think we throw "Southern Metal" into the same category, but that is truly another sub-genre in itself. I would call this more southern metal.
Either way, it's cool that you don't care for this. I dig it!

Oh yeah, if you aren't a fan of southern rock then I can totally understand why you wouldn't like this.

They've released another single-video for this album and it's one of the rockers (fantastic song).

That’s a good tune, although I think my favorite is actually the title track.

This is a really good album imo...
The opening track RIPTIDE is my favorite...
At least this album isnt a rehash of what they did before... Everyone complains "it all sounds the same" at Fear Not stretched their sound...
whether you care for it or not is another story

For me, this actually is better than their debut as you could tell they were being pushed to be the Christian version of Skid Row. This at least gives them a more real sound that contains some of the vibe from the original, some southern elements, and even a little Black Label Society thrown in. It sounds modern yet you get some vintage feel from it. I think this will be better for them in the long run.
