That sounds much more like Sacred Warrior than the last SW album did! It sounds like they were trying to shed the Rush influence, and it has worked! This is great!

I have not been interested in this at all...till now. I never liked Rush, and I didn’t like Trytan’s album from back in the day. But this sounds great!

Well that makes no sense, never liking Rush.

Strewth, I saw the title, and I thought "Brilliant, some new Trytan updates" Then I realised it was me that posted it!
Anyway, yes, they are still Christian. You should 'friend' him on facebook. He's incredible, passionate about Christ, and preaches all the time. If you like their previous albums, you're going to love the new album, as (from what I've heard) it sounds amazing.

Thanks! Yeah I saw some boldly Christian posts on their FB. Gosh how refreshing and encouraging to see a band still carrying the Christian torch so to speak... It seems like quite a rarity these days.

Lary just posted this (I haven't included the pic)...
Me while waiting for the release of the Trytan “Blood of Kings“ album. Nah, just kidding. I started writing the next Trytan album “Heart of the Dragon“ and the 1st Emanate album even before the final session for “Blood of Kings.” Always keep working and always keep moving. My dad always said, it’s hard to hit a moving target. 1Cor. 15:57-58...always abound in the work of the Lord.

I wish their teasers included snippets of the riffs, not just shredding. While impressive, guitar solos don't give much of an idea of what the album will sound like. I'm very much looking forward to hearing the music, in any case.

Did anyone get the reissues of their first two albums? Was the overall sound quality so improved that it warranted getting them, or should I keep the CDs I already have?

Absolutely love what they did with Revelation Song. The title track wasn't bad either but it seemed like the vocals where buried in the mix a little too much to make me happy.

Both of the songs left me feeling a little underwhelmed. I will wait to pass judgement, though, after I have the new album.

I went ahead and pre-ordered the album. It's only $13.99. However, postage is $6.99 (that's half the price of the cd ). If Matt is going to have that as his new standard shipping price I'm probably going to be done with ordering anymore Retroactive reissues.

I actually really liked that first song and it makes me want to check them out more. That second song I didn't care for at all though. (CCM is probably my absolute least favorite genre - even lower than rap or pop-country.)
