He's kinda selfish that way. I thought for sure this was my year to get the birthday, but I guess not. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

He's kinda selfish that way. I thought for sure this was my year to get the birthday, but I guess not. When ya'll finally start buying me gifts, then we'll talk about letting youins have a birthday. Until then, I am hoarding them!!!! I am only 11 years old. I have started adding my first and last digits together so I can revisit some of my favorite birthdays. This way, I can be 11 a few more times and probably won't live long enough to equal 18 again. I never have to grow up this way. Hey, it works in my forgettful mi.............. I like peanut butter. Hey, can you keep a squirrel as a pet? What were we just talking about? Oh, right! My shoe is untied! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I'm so glad I'm behind the safety of my computer screen right now... I'm sure why this is (besides me being a total freak hahaha) but I HATE peanut-breath! I like peanuts and peanut butter and Reese's and whatnot, but if someone else is eating peanuts or their derivatives near me and I can smell their breath... I get completely grossed out and have to distance myself from them. No other food does that to me (though I'm sure I'd be grossed out if I smelled someone's breath if they were eating rotten fish or something). You're all welcome for that lovely tidbit of information. | |

I can relate in a way. The smell of pork sausages or pork anything makes me uncomfortable.

I didn't do anything really special. I didn't really want a lot of fanfare for my birthday. We went out on Monday night. Tuesday my mother-in-law took me to lunch. Yesterday being my birthday, we had church. As far as gifts, I got $50 from my mother-in-law. My wife got me a couple of blu-rays (X-Men: Apocalypse & Capt. America: Civil War). She got me some books by a new author I've discovered. She got me a pumpkin cupcake candle from Bath N' Body Works. I will reuse the lid on a cigar box guitar. Oh, and she got me some Batman/Superman sleep pants. I will be so stylish and the envy of the neighborhood when I go out to get my mail in them once cold weather sets in.

Second... you mean you aren't already? I don't think that most of my neighbors even know who we are. While this is small town America, we've all learned to keep pretty much to ourselves. I talk sometimes to the people next door when we are out in the yard at the same time. Who is the author? Andrew Klavan. He actually writes teen and young adult fiction, but I found his first novel I read to be very good. It was called "If We Survive" and was about these kids being on a mission trip and suddenly the country erupts into a military uprising that overthrows that country they are in. They have to try to escape. Some of it was very predictable, but the characters connected with me and the story flowed quickly. So, if it was junk, I didn't notice. I bought a 2nd book of his that I am going to start on, and then my wife bought me a series of 4 books that Klavan did.

| I'm familiar with Klavan - he wrote True Crime and Don't Say a Word (both adapted into movies).
I actually just read a few months ago that although he grew up an agnostic Jew, he's now a Christian. I may have to check out his newer stuff.
