Thank you all for the well wishes!
With all the craziness getting our car checked out and finding that our 2016 Kia is toast has kept me busy and stressed this week. Car shopping won't be fun, either.

Oh man, I would think a 2016 KIA would still be road worthy (unless it had something like 300k miles on it). Bummer to hear that.

147,000. Kia's, we have found out, are not typically known for long lives. Our mechanic told us that he has seen blown engines with as little as 75,000 from Kia. They don't usually give you much warning that something is wrong, either.
