| What, if any, musical releases were you less than thrilled with? For me, I was extremely underwhelmed by the Cromwell/Carlson disc. Musically it just wasn't what I would want from Les.
Also, the new Apologetix album "You Can't Say Euphrates Without The 80s" did nothing for me. I didn't like a lot of the songs they covered and didn't know some of the originals either. That makes for a boring parody album. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Agreed, I feel they could have done so much more with the album.

| I have to say that I pretty much had no disappointments this year. Thanks to Spotify (or Bandcamp) I listened to nearly everything I thought I wanted before I bought it. I certainly helped me skip a few albums that I would have ended up not really enjoying. The only one I got that I wish I hadn't was Signum Regis "Through the Storm" EP. Don't get me wrong it was very well done, it's just a genre that I really don't dig anymore, I'm not sure why I got it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| My biggest musical letdown of 2015 was not getting the Joshua's Creed album released. Hopefully come April/May it will be ready. | |

| GX Project. I thought it was terrible and wanted to like it so bad. I thought the production was terrible on it. Very highly compressed and not near as good as the first 2. I would have to agree with Cromwell/Carlsen. Thankfully I ended up not ordering it after hearing some samples. | |

| I didn't even know the Cromwell/Carlsen was out. I was pretty pleased with everything I was looking forward to, so I guess my biggest letdown was Worldview. Not that I dislike the album in any way, I was just hoping for a little harder sound with more of George's leads. | |

Having had a taste of that one song I'm really looking forward to hearing the whole album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| For me the new Stryper album was a bit of a letdown...
I know most people love the new Stryper album, but can someone tell me why? Don't get me wrong. I think it's a strong album, but to me it feels a bit like a marketing machine. They've listened well to what the fans want and given that on both Fallen and No More Hell To Pay. Somehow i miss a bit of creativity. That's what i loved on Against The Law. It was bit out of the box.

I fully understand. I intended to finish my blues album but didn't. I have all the vocals done. I just need to complete drum tracks on one song, leads, and then mixdown/mastering. - Quote :

I thought it was pretty doggone good! I like it better than "Sinner" but not as much as "Bite Stick".

Yeah, Reborn, speaking of letdowns... Even though there are a few good songs on Reborn, overall it wasn't a good album. Bad mix, The bass and drums are dominating. to many low-tones (no clue if that's how you say it in English). The mix and mastering on both Fallen and No More Hell To Pay are superb. It's just not what i want to hear in a Stryper album. I guess i'm not the typical Stryper fan.

I find the last two Stryper lp's to be very creative, and very well done in terms of songwriting and artistic value...

Better production, but this is obviously a light hearted spoof band, but for me, the humor has worn off...
