Of course, you'll probably spell my name or address wrong...
I would send it to you (even with the inkorrect spelling). But haven't figured out a way to legally transfer digital downloads yet to other people. As a matter of fact I think Amazon encodes their MP3 files so they can help assist the RIAA in prosecuting people who "share" their legally purchased downloads.
Oops. I missed that you downloaded it. Yeah don't break the law.
Breakin' the law, breakin' the law!!!

The Barnabas song is cool! Anyone else think that Nancy Jo sounds a lot like Wendi Kaiser on this?
That Showbread was atrocious! The vocals are performed in a way that the lyrics are completely unintelligible. That, in my opinion, is when it ceases being music and has descended into a lack of artistry just for the sake of making a record. Its horrible!

I can hear some resemblance to Wendy on this recording but Nancy Jo still has the better voice hands down.
I agree on the Showbread song. 'Tis rather ucky.

Just because Alldat doesn't like it, doesn't mean everyone here isn't going to dig it.

No I hear ya. I post occasionally on a punk board (although come to think of it, it's been a loooooong time) and that's more their speed.

Haha yeah the extreme stuff isn't so popular 'round these parts...
To me, most metalcore/hardcore/____-core sounds basically the same to me but this is really quite unique! While I do love other extreme vocal types (death, black), I still haven't been able to get into the hardcore vocals though. The instrumentation and songwriting on that song are great though I'd need to learn to like the vocals to fully appreciate it.

Yeah it's different. They're pretty heavily influenced by a band called The Refused, who have a similar vocal style.
Showbread has always been called punk, but if you listen through their 9 albums, you'll hear punk, metal, acoustic ballads, even worship songs... very diverse.
This particular song lacks some melodic singing from Josh (lead vocals, guitar, synth and songwriter) but a lot of other tunes have melody a lot too.

As long as everyone lets me have my way and agrees with me on everything, then I'm pretty flexible!

Ummm, no. But I'm not at all a fan of the hardcore or extreme vocal style in pretty much any band. :lol:3 So much so that even though I'm a big fan of hard rock/metal bands with melodic female lead vocals, if there is pretty much any growly or screamy male vocals in the mix I will pretty much shy away from it completely.
But I will concede that Showbread seems to have a unique musical blend (or style) and I totally respect that, even it isn't my thing.

I can see why you would say that but I will echo that NJM is way beyond WK vocally...I LOVE 70's/80's Resurrection Band. I pretty much cut my musical / metal teeth on their stuff and Glen Kaiser just has the best voice, but I have become less and less a fan of WK's voice in my old age...
