Next surgery is coming up. They're gonna open the back of my neck and put brackets and screws on every level but the very top (that attaches to my skull). So my entire neck, cervical levels, will be bracketed. Surgeon says I'll still have range of motion as the brackets do not hinder movement. 

What's a problem is this - he said I should taper my current pain meds so that when I DO have the surgery, I won't have "as much" pain and the morphine they give me will help more.
I am currently failing at tapering current pain meds. Not cuz of addiction, but cuz without them, I am in SO MUCH pain that I become immediately depressed and feel despair. 
Not really sure what to do.... or how to do it.

You'll do great Driven. University was fun for me. I wish I could go back for my master's sooner than next fall but financially it just isn't going to happen.

But yes, I see it as a good thing.  They felt that I was best suited for this position so that means they have confidence in my abilities . . . whatever they may be

With regards to your abilities you know what they say....If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull-shrimp.

Hey that sounds important.  Let's form a committee and explore the best ways to implement that into our daily routine.

Sounds quite similar to my first quarter at college.  I had Physics, Chemistry, Algebra, & English Lit.

I absolutely love Tesla, Def Leppard, and Cinderella.  I like the new WASP stuff, but it isn't a favorite.  I am not big on Iron Maiden, but I do remember loving that album back in my heyday.  Right now, there are other albums I want to recoup before trying Maiden again.

I really need to buy a beard trimmer.

I couldn't stand my beard if I did not have one.  I trim every weekend during school months to keep a fresh look.  During the summer, I will go two weeks between trimmings.

I have to do it very often as my facial hair grows fast.  I could shave my mustache and beard off today, let it go for no more than 4 days, and you would never know I shaved it.
